Recruit Lists v2.0

Not that I felty he staff had been recruiting Davis hard at this point they can focus elsewhere. but Eric just cut his list and ISU isn't on it.

@NextUpRecruits: 2015 G Eric Davis told me,"Narrowed my list to 7: Texas, Michigan, Michigan St, UNLV, UCLA, NC State,& Kentucky (No Order)".
Stupid unlv. Place ha$ nothing to offer

Well that's too bad but I think we'll be just fine. We have a better chance with Dillon Brooks so missing out on this one is okay, especially this early.

Even though Iowa State isn't in this one (and hasn't been, maybe ever), it will still be an interesting one to keep tabs on. If he doesn't end up at Michigan State, I will be absolutely shocked. There are two schools on that list of 7 that have absolutely no business being there, IMO. UNLV and NC State. Some real "interesting" things happening at both schools the last few years.

Mmmmkay... Sid has some connections to the U of M (due to the fact he has been covering Twin Cities Sports for 60 years), but is also a total homer. So take this with a grain of salt.

@GopherHole: Sid Hartman on Alex Illikainen & Jarvis Johnson: "chances are good that both will commit to the #Gophers eventually" http://t.co/D4OLpgl2ls

Haven't we cooled on Jarvis Johnson?

Why do people say UNLV has nothing to offer....? It's in Las Vegas. That's extremely appealing to college kids.

Because it's Las Vegas? What's a 21 year old going to do in Vegas? Why would parents want their kids in Vegas for COLLEGE?

Whats a 21 year old kid going to do in Vegas? We must not be talking about the same Las Vegas. Is a serious that question? Las Vegas would be a playground for a future top NBA pick.

And the kid is choosing where he will be going to school, not his mother or father.

i meant under 21. And if you know anything about these decisions generally parents are a piece of it most of the time. That's why coaches have in home visits. Not to talk to a kid, they can do that at a game (if permitted) and on a visit. They talk to the parents.

JFC you are incredibly slow.
That is what is being alluded to- kids are not going to UNLV for basketball reasons, but for the $trip.

It may be the strip, it may be the cash, (probably a lot of both), but either way UNLV proved in the late 80's/early 90's that they're capable of attracting talent and winning.

Now they're doing it again to a much lesser extent.

Yeah, and if they pay $5k in real NCAA money a year, there is your gambling stake if you have the right I.D.

From what I've heard that is money that is going to be given to them after they complete their eligibility.

Miles Bridges didn't list us in a recent article recently either. The lack of traction in HS recruiting is pretty depressing.

Uh oh.

@AdamFinkelstein: ESPN 100 forward Dillon Brooks will visit Oregon officially this week & may join them for upcoming 2014-2015 season per sources.
