Well we should have a new poll thread: "Is MaccloNe Fred?" Or "Is MaccloNe a doucher?". I'd be interested to see the results of this poll.
You don't take a commitment from him before you know what Diallo, Ellenson, Ahmad, and Illikainen plan to do.
To be honest there are always outliers, but on average the 4 and 5 star players usually turn out to be a lot better.
Put it all together and what do you get? It's not that we're too elite and we're turning our nose up, but we're seriously in on some top top players that we're not going to recruit under.
Well then fantastic we're all in agreement. The staff agrees with me, you agree with the staff, we all agree with each other.

Our lowly ME was only a 3 star kid.

No one is even talking about that except for the one poster that you are getting trolled by.
I'll agree that 4&5 stars tend to be better, but the poster was saying we SHOULDN'T look at 3 stars. Hoiberg liked what he saw with Niang when he didn't have the stars behind his name & look what we got. I'm not sold on Bruce Weber, but obviously his staff did a great job of evaluating Foster - that kid did amazing things as a Frosh in a very tough conference. Perhaps the point is, we shouldn't OVERLOOK the 3 stars.
To be honest, Fred will go with his own assessment. His 4* may be a rivals 3* or vice versa.
