Recruit Lists v2.0

Like Wallen said, Trey is a beast on the recruiting trail and his articles are worth the price.

With that said, I'll give you two small items:
Cornell Mann is his lead recruiter.
He is taking academics into consideration.

So he wants to be an engineer/vet/farmer or we're screwed!:jimlad:

With his offer list, I don't see how we wouldn't be in the lead for his commit. I really like the kids game.

Are we mentioned as a culinary school again?! LOL

I guess it's not that I don't want, but I don't think he would thrive here or be a good fit if his biggest strength is his mid-range game. Hoiball doesn't have a mid-range game.

While we will remember Ejim for his highlight reel dunks and fairly consistent threes as a senior, he had a very good 10-15 foot jumper, gasp, a mid range game. Hoiball had plenty of room for that. What Fred hates is the J on or just inside the three point line which he calls the worst or lowest percentage shot in regular offenses.

Really sounds like Turner is starting to show his potential on the AAU circuit this year too. Would be a great mismatch as a 6'7" gaurd with handles that can shoot.

2015 wing A.J. Turner likes Iowa State b/c of strong connection w/ISU coach Cornell Mann and style of play ($) http://scouthoops.scout.com/2/1400696.html

And a recent video:
<font color="#292F33"><span style="font-family: Arial">

After watching both this video and his rivals video, I like this kid a lot. The kid has nice stroke, nice height, and a nice frame. If I can compare his play and his body to anyone, it would probably have to be Chris Babb. Is he built like a brick house like Babb yet? No, not even close, but I'd say the frame is there where this kid could really add some weight and muscle to, and a kids frame has as much to do with adding strength than anything. SDW is the perfect example. While SDW has added quite a bit of weight and muscle on, the kid is never going to be a super strong kid. He just doesn't have the frame for it. To me, AJ does have that possibility and could be a pretty deadly weapon with a bunch of strength added in there, just like Babb was. Count me in for this kid.

@TravisHines21: Iowa State has received a commitment from 7-foot-1 Greek national Giorgos Tsalmpouris, per a source.

Hope Diallo still is looking at us. Seems like all the gurus have him going to Kentucky already. Dang it anyway. The only part of college basketball I just hate is programs like Calipari's ( and KU, UNC, etc.) getting all the elite guys every year. Then they can do it again the next year because the elite talent goes to the NBA. If you ask me, no way is the college game based on a level playing field. But then again, what in life is? Does the Greek commit indicate anything concerning our chances with Diallo? Hopefully not.

I don't know why it would.

Yeah. Right now it looks like UK and KU are probably the favorites.

I've read alot about UK as a favorite, but not Kansas (yet). Isn't there ever one top 10 recruit that just once they wouldn't be on our same list? Geez.

Just like all the gurus had Vaughn going to UNC... obviously he didn't come here, but he didn't end up at UNC either.

Good point. Except...not sure RV's recruitment scenario will be duplicated again. He had everyone guessing, didn't he? (maybe even Kaffey -haha)

Seems like we've missed out of some players that ended up at Kentucky, UNC or KU but we beat 2 of those teams without those 4 and 5 star guys this past year because we have a better coach. And for that I'm thankful.
