Just curious, where was it stated that Jaylen Johnson was taking another visit here?

Travis scored 14, 2nd leading scorer on his team. Assuming he will rise a little after that as it was full of 5 stars and high 4 stars

Watched it some. He would be a great fit in CFH's system. You can really see it. Wish he could see that. CFH would capitalize on his strengths. Tough, pick and pop, efficient, smart,..hmm sounds like someone else we know. Dave Telep did reports during the telecast and mentioned Stanford as leading right now. Will be a tough get. Might need a little magic to get him thinking Ames.

Telep also didn't mention ISU, at all, did he?
Maybe I missed it but he was pushing Harvard as the big sleeper.
The kid got rejected a bunch (I'd say mostly due to the high level talent on the floor) but my god he's like a magnet on the offensive glass.

His big brother plays at Harvard and they'd have a year together so Harvard has that going for them in addition to everything else they can sell.

Actually when they mentioned all the teams they said Iowa. Is Iowa recruiting him too or was this just the typical screw up n they meant isu

That article takes away the "star factor" so many people say that RV would have if he chooses ISU. Sounds like if that's what he wants he knows he could stay home and get that, and more, playing as a gopher.

Yeah, but with us, it would be combining that with an ex NBA guard as your coach who also happens to be good at his job.

Agree with this, and just to add to what you're saying, ISU's program is much more stable than U of M at this point. New coach coming in with not of success coaching at the Division I level (yet) and gotta think they'll be pretty strongly in rebuilding mode this season, and maybe next as well. ISU is getting to NCAA Tournaments on a regular basis.

I don't think we are recruiting dialo anymore. I may be wrong but I don't think he had much interest in us.

Macura still has a way to go before breaking Matt Thomas's record for school visits in a year but he is maybe gunning for it...

@RyanJamesMN: JP Macura watched the Gophs practice today meaning he's been on campus unofficially four times since Memorial Day.

Getting the sense JP may want early playing time and I am not sure Fred can promise that with ISU's current roster, nor should he. U of M should have minutes available next year. Though they seemed to have offered every available player for '14 in the past 2 months so that could change.

i view minny as the leader for macura - seems like a "hometown" kid who wants to play for his state school. obviously playing time available.

I agree. I think it would be hard for him to see early PT at ISU but who knows. ISU is already good while Minny needs some work.

Minnesota is being predicted as last place in the big 10 next year. They need players and macura has stated several times he wants to play right away. That is probably the best place for someone who wants minutes.

If he wants to play for a winner and a guy that can take his style to the next level. He would simply commit right now to ISU.
