I remember that. Trying to remember the one on Welch just south of clocktower.I thought that I was the only person on Earth who remembered Dharma Records on Lincoln Way.
I've seen GZA twice on his own (both in Iowa City) and once with Wu-Tang (MSP) and his flow is top notch.I'm not big on rap, other than 80s through mid 90s, but man do I love Liquid Swords. That is in my CD player in the car at the moment, actually. GZA just did a show here but I had to work that night.
Madlib killed it on that record. I love hearing his beats to this day on commercials, in between NPR stories, the Boondocks, etc.I've had Liquid Swords for years but funny enough I also just got Madvillainy a couple weeks ago.
Out of all of Wu-Tang, he is the best writer. His lyrics are always on point. I like Raekwon and Method Man too but GZA is above them, IMO.I've seen GZA twice on his own (both in Iowa City) and once with Wu-Tang (MSP) and his flow is top notch.
The diversity of his lyrics is great. This is a fun visual from a few years back showing that.Out of all of Wu-Tang, he is the best writer. His lyrics are always on point. I like Raekwon and Method Man too but GZA is above them, IMO.
