The problem is that doesnt make for a consistent media value team.
This is why ISU and really most of the Big 12 are much better value. Because there is not such huge drop off in the bad years. Fans here support the team winning or not. Sure when winning its better, but when losing its not a ghost town like Cal and Stan etc.
Much easier to have a consistent media calculation when things are much more consistent.
Vegas would be fun. And maybe it made sense for Pac12 as a money grab/central location.
But in looking at realignment map, I don't believe the Big12 added a school in Nevada. I'd prefer the Big12 financially support Big12 states.
KC's been a great site. But as the conference evolves, I would have no problem alternating sites between KC and (Denver or SLC)
Same in football- rotate between Dallas & Phoenix.
If we are going to celebrate a conference of equals (No Texas), the new 8 have an equal voice. So some compromises might need to be made.
But if those new sites don't support the Championships like KC or Dallas, then revert back to a single location.

Ahhhhh...Big12 doesn't have a presence in Missouri, unless you consider Kansas Heathcare part of Kansas.
Having had some time to think about things for a day, I feel less bad for the left out schools and the schools that will get left out from the ACC than I previously did. Back then the whole "alliance" thing happened the PAC and ACC were perfectly happy to try to knock the Big-12 down a level by excluding the Big-12. You reap what you sow *** holes.
Not to mention a conference tournament designed to get bubble teams exposure if they can go on a run.
I thought you were going to title it "Iowa" or "Big 10"..
They will probably tear down their stadium and put in a community garden.
The 12 Pac schools are on the hook because they received the overpayment. With the Pac12 blowing up, my guess is conference will withhold final media rights payment to 12 schools next summer.
Well, we do have Red Raiders in our conference, and a couple of the teams that were "raided" have reddish in their school colors (even more so if the Big 12 ends up with Stanford),so...maybe not that far off???Another great example of the national media’s tilt on this. From the AP: the B1G “will accept Washington and Oregon as new members” while the B12 is “poised to complete its raid on the beleaguered conference.”

Here's something that really isn't being discussed - now that the Pac 12 is dead and the media bemoans "the loss of tradition" that is Cal and Stanford, when you start looking at reality UCF, UH, Cincy, and BYU are all bigger and more relevant brands NOW than Stanford, Cal, OrST, and WSU are. Those 4 schools have been power schools for a long time now and are now just getting their opportunity, while the other 4 haven't been for a long time now and are losing their opportunity.
When it comes right down to it, Pac schools became obsolete and were replaced by newer, more relevant models.

Eh, I doubt it. Just poor leadership from their commissioner. None of the 8 teams we've added really move any needles, and the remaining teams don't, either. We just got a contract when it was there instead of waiting too long.
That’s good that his connections helped. But it also means that the media companies expect us to increase our brand value, something Yormark probably sold the media companies on. Now we probably need to follow through on what ever Yormark sold.
The Sprint Center is. But KC is also in Kansas. So fan money spent supports both KS & MO.
