If I was a basketball recruit going to Iowa State and potential trips to nice Winter destinations such as Orlando and Tucson and Phoenix and Houston, that would sound good with me.
Basketball recruits don’t care that much about the weather honestly. It doesn’t hurt but it’s not that important

Would Uconn and Zags, be BB only....or all sports except FB?

I have seen it said both ways but I assume they mean all sports except FB.

I wonder what Uconn would think of not being able to bring their FB team.

Scheer tweet rumor is hoops only.

It’d be the most stacked basketball conf of all time quite easily. NCAA tourney would be where the easy part starts.

How much do we pay them, and if they are added does it take $ from the other 16? or would the media partners kick in for them?

That is the big question for me.

If every school gave up the .7M of the 31.7M, it would give those 2 schools about 5.5M each.

That would not be a horrible option, but I dont think anyone would be happy giving up more than that. Unless One or both of the media partners agree to kick in what is needed.

I would think UConn and Gonzaga hoops only brings a lot of added value.

The matchups in any other conference would be a joke compared to b12.

Adding UCONN and Gonzaga would be an absolutely bonkers bball conference. That being said, I'm pretty indifferent to it. They just feel like weird fits but if it makes Yormark happy then I'm down

That BB conference would be a bare knuckles brawl every season, but the B12 is already that.
Damn I hope we retain TJ. He's a darn good coach and understands the portal and how to have the sum be greater than the parts.

The newbie fans seem to have a weird obsession with Las Vegas. Who wants to explain to them that the city is outside of our footprint?

I agree, but who pays it....not exactly part of our current deal.

Do the schools have to pay it out of their share until the end of the contract....or will they add and amend our deal? We dont have a separate BB contract currently.

My only fear, how likely is it the Big 12 gets even 12 teams in the tourney at 18 schools? There is a chance a few deserving teams are going to get left out.

Looking at that map I wonder about the future of basketball in KC.
Yeah, KSU, ISU & Kansas best be a very strong advocacy group. How were going to have Houston, Dallas, Cincy, Orlando, Phoenix and Salt Lake as potential sites

I wonder when we start seeing the new neighbors here. This should be interesting.
