They were the rumored 12th school when the Big 12 formed in the 90s, however many of the state of Texas politicians had Baylor ties to get them included over BYU to group with the other three Texas schools.

Hadn't heard that. Thought I had heard Houston was the choice as the 4th TX school, as they were the last remaining public, but then Texas politics blessed us with Baylor.

That’s right! All this realignment is CUs fault! 100% of the blame for sure! Certainly no other conference had anything to do with the current landscape…
Why are they obsolved of all slights. They left because they saw greener pastures and it turned out to be gravel. I understand why the B12 will want them them but for me personally they can go to hell.

The sad part is we may never know the number.
Whatever it is, it is lower now with Colorado out. GK was on the record saying they believed Deion being at Colorado would help their media deal. Whether that is true or not, Colorado in general leaving definitely hurts the little bit of leverage they have with the networks.

They left for what was a much more stable league at the time that was a cultural fit for the entire university. They did what was best for them at the time and I would expect Iowa State would've done the same thing had the opportunity presented itself.

People also like to skip over NU. They had a hand in it as well as far as I'm concerned.

I place a large share on Nebraska. They were always part of the voting alliance with Texas, A&M, and OU keeping equal revenue sharing out of the Big 12. What was the "primary reason" NU left for the Big 10? They had equal revenue sharing. Something we could have had in the Big 12 ages ago if NU wanted that bad because only one school had to flip in order to make it a thing back then.

Don't worry!

Reading that San Diego St is a much more valuable replacement and Colorado State is basically just Colorado.

Oh and SMU.

That league is ******

To all of you who gave Yormarck less than an A grade in the other thread, you must go to bed early tonight....no dessert and no TV.
Nope, Yormark was the beneficiary of a really dense Pac12 commissioner, made Bowlsby look like a genius. LOL
