Not exactly sure.
How is that trolling? I think it could be highly likely to get some more games on ESPN.
I’d rather have that than ESPN+ or ESPN U on a Saturday.
We aren't playing a bunch of games on Thursdays and fridays. Maybe one game a year, the big ten even does Friday games so I don't know why don't just yap about your own conference doing it first.

Starting to thing you are the troll. I’m talking about the B12 maximizing revenue with next contract and to get more slots on premium channels it may involve games outside of Saturday. B12 game if the week on a Thursday or Friday…etc.

Not sure why your feathers are getting so ruffled?

Bluffing? Leveraging? Staying afloat? What are the implications to us?
UC Board of Regents to rule on UCLA Departure
Will be interesting. Forcing UCLA to stay in a USC-less Pac 12 seems like a weird move by the regents given the apparent financial straits UCLA is in and the windfall the B1G membership would bring, but whatevs. Would be curious to see who the B1G might move on to, Stanford?

Yeah the idea that they can just make the Big 10 take them is absolutely hilarious.
I would love it if they somehow road blocked the UCLA part, that could really put a squeeze on USC. The PAC could survive if UCLA gets pulled out of the deal.

I think Warren’s audience is Notre Dame. But I also think it’s kind of a bluff, because they’d get in one way or another.

Warren seems to be suggesting to the people in South Bend “Get on board now or else invites are going to Washington, Oregon, Stanford, and Cal, and then who knows if we have any room left?”

If ND was on board, I think they would get an invite instantly with Oregon and Washington. Stanford would be a heavy favorite for spot #20, but Cal might be able to weasel its way in, Baylor style, depending on how the regents and politicians maneuvered the UCLA issue.

And of course the much bigger issue here is the B1G (and SEC) paying players and no one else being able or willing to keep up. The Power 2 will separate.

I think much less likely they force anyt In terms of conference membership, but try to confiscate some of UCLA’s media money to support Cal.

I think in that scenario, USC would still be gone, I don't see any reason why the Big 10 wouldn't take them now, even at uneven membership. But I would guess that if UCLA were somehow no longer leaving the PAC, I wouldn't have any doubt in my mind the Big 10 would take their third choice PAC option; either a Stanford, Oregon, or Washington.

Uneven? USC is worth more than maybe just 1-2 teams in the big ten. Shown by the tv deal shooting up with their add.

I think they are massively overplaying their hand here. I don't think UCLA is all that valuable honestly. Certainly not enough to justify dragging Cal along for the ride. If the regents dig in the B1G will just grab Stanford instead of UCLA and go about their business, leaving both of the public schools drowning in debt in a failing league.

I think if ND joined, Cal would be in ahead of Oregon. I know from a athletics standpoint that's insane, but with the lawsuit "risk", endowment, academics... Oregon doesn't bring much TV market. Cal is a better fit in a lot of ways.

More speculatively-- would Colorado make more sense than Oregon if ND doesn't join?? Again the athletics side is no way. BUT... Colorado is contiguous, similar TV market size gain for BTN, AAU academics. It's possible.

Yeah USC is the big prize, the regents blocking UCLA wouldn't affect that. B1G would probably just find another west coast partner for SC.

Agree, UCLA was the tag along.
