This isn't about getting Minnesota to the Big 12. Part of this might be some schools in the Big 10 west to show their unease with what is going on. Sure they are getting unheard of money. But it has come at a cost to them and college athletics. One of the costs is that schools like Minnesota have basically been told to give up their voice in exchange for 100 million or maybe we will form a super conference and take our ball elsewhere. Fox Sports has a seat at the table. Another thing that has caused them to pause is to see the upheaval that has been caused inthe proxy war between Fox and ESPN and the BiG and SEC, with the Big 12, pac 12 ACC being caught in the crosshairs. Who will be in the crosshairs 20 years from now when new media rights will have to be negotiated? I think Yormark understands the dynamics in the Big 10 and SEC better than most. Since this was broken by a Minnesota press, my guess it was done with the permission of the University of Minnesota. The audience was not us. This could be totally wrong, but keep in mind two things. One is two days later and Minnesota still has not come out with a public comment. The other is Gary Barta even has made a public statement about the Big 10s plans and was thrown under the bus by the commissioner.
You can't seriously believe any this. Lol.

Minnesota doesn’t need to come out with a comment addressing a situation that sounds insane to anyone (well almost anyone apparently) that reads it. I’m sure that Minn is just jumping at the opportunity to cut their athletic revenue by more then half and get out of the P2. Also not sure where the giving up your voice part is coming from or a particular incident that Minn has to be mad at.

I like these guys.
They are calling for the Big 12 to act and kill the PAC 12.
Let's go! Why do we have to wait for ND, wait for the Big 10, wait for this. Wait for that. Uggh!
What happened to being aggressive like the Big 10 did getting USC/UCLA. Like the SEC did getting OUT.
Let's go and stop waiting on others.

The wait is on the PAC negotiating rights. Which exclusively end in two days, then it’s open for anyone to bid. Why would they jump before hearing their offers? They could have jumped a month ago, or a year from now, and they would still join at the same time. So why wouldn’t they look at all thier options first?

Found this on the ASU board... Apparently it is the timeline of Big 10 expansion and the planned next steps that Flueger was going to post but was compelled not to due to potential legal ramifications.
interesting read.

Acceptance stage. I think they are a take, even with BYU in the same small state. Their fans are engaged and watch the games, much like the Big12 schools.

If the Big12 can be selective, maybe they won't have that luxury...I'm not convinced you'd take Zona if you could get ASU, Zona and CU numbers are gross.

Damn and here I thought Minn to the big12 would be the stupidest post of the day. University of Toronto, Missouri and then adding schools in Europe?

Just a quick reminder for some people, just because it’s on the internet doesn’t make it true…

Being in the same state is irrelevant. We aren’t the B1G and we don’t have the B1G network. We aren’t going to start a Big12 network that cable/satellite company’s force people to buy. The Big12 network will more than likely be on Amazon.

I get it, I do, but I don't think it means NOTHING. So if it does not matter, at all, then no way do you take Zona and CU in any circumstance, they have been P5 for decades and still they are just above OrSt.

I, for one, am skeptical of all the corner schools, but Utah seems to be the closest to a sure thing. I’d rank my preference on them as Utah > ASU > CO > AZ. The PAC has two no-brainers at this point - OR and WA - and three hard no’s - WA St, OR St and Cal. Everyone else is a maybe.

I guess if it is an asset you got, then use it. My only issue is if they do this, or similar, I get annoyed when they then complain that they are getting objectified. Of course you are. This is what you want, this is how you get attention, it is the entire point of what you do, and how you do it.

Then they call men pigs etc for looking, even though that is exactly what their entire point of doing what they're doing is. It is just that when you put out a little honey you don't just attract your ideal audience, you attract them all, so they can't complain that they attracted the undesirable audience as well as their desirable.

That is just my 2 cents on that.
Do you have an instance of that happening?

Probably not a helpful opinion.

Most of the women I know that call out behavior are just wanting to be able to go running, walk on the street, etc without crude sexual references being hurled at them. Maybe you should meet some women.

No, you said schools in the B1G West are uneasy with what's going on. That Minnesota has been told to give up their voice or the B1G boys will form their own superconference. That Yormark understands the dynamics in the B1G and SEC better than most. And that you think the story broke with the permission of the U of Minnesota.

Lol.

I’m sorry you said that Minn has lost its voice, isn’t happy with the realignment changes, stated that they didn’t deny the report and then implied that Minn asked the local reporter to print that story. All of which would imply that Minn isn’t happy in the big ten, and all of which is bat **** crazy
