Worthless considering that at this point it looks like Big10 getting top 3 brands from PAC. Big getting more and PAC getting much less even if they replace the 3 schools there are no schools available that come close to USC, UCLA and Oregon.
I hate Auerbach, but her tweet is about the SEC and Big 10 projections, not the other 3.
Auerbach left my good graces when she was appalled at us getting better NY6 committee rankings than her favorite G5 schools (I think it was Cincinnati that year), and then we won the Fiesta Bowl.
But let’s be honest with ourselves, no matter what happens there’s gonna be an enormous $$$ gap between the B1G/SEC and everybody else. Our job now is to try to secure our position as a future #3 league if we can’t get into those first two.

I do think OuT and USC/UCLA stuff we’re supposed to go down at the same time. Probably to bury the two conferences and make them worthless. Good old mason jars couldn’t contain themselves and blew it all up. B12 was the benefactor most likely from this.
If it goes down at the same time, you would have 18 leftovers that you would throw together and be down to 64 teams. Get WV and another to go ACC and you have 4 groups of 16. What the media wanted.

My main point is Iowa by every measure is ahead of approximately half of the B10 teams. Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue and Indiana would most certainly be the first ones cut out. If they are going to move to one super conference of say 24 teams, I’d then be worried. I don’t think they’d ever pare it down that far because Goliath still needs plenty of David’s.

What about 32 teams? Iowa would be borderline if they went to two conferences to be above or below.
Pretty sure they're penciled into the SEC at this point. I actually find it weirder that Clemson is in that.

This would suggest that those are the four top TV brands remaining in the Pac-12. If Notre Dame goes B1G, the idea is apparently that Oregon will go with them; if not, there is a chance that Oregon and Washington both get in.
But as relevant to the B12, both of those schools plus Utah and ASU would be good additions to the Big 12 from FOX’s perspective.
Jon Wilner had some skepticism earlier that might have been more about Arizona and Colorado. If the B1G takes Oregon and ND, we should obviously take Washington, Utah, and ASU, but I think it would be an interesting question whether we take 1 or 3 of Arizona, Colorado, Cal, and Stanford after that. Personally I think it would be 3, we’d go to 18, and one of the Bay Area schools would be left out. But it would be funny to exclude Colorado.

I really think you would have to think hard about Colorado. They really add nothing, there are no positives to adding them.
Let Standford go to D3. Since they think of themselves as an Ivy League school, they can go play at that level with them.
