Taking those two into the Big12 would be a massive bump, add in a couple others in the pac and the game between the P2 and Big12 would shrink a bit
It would benefit the Big 12 more if those 2 went the the big 10. IF those 2 stay, I can see the PAC making a run at some Big 12 with the TV deal coming in 2024.

Then you are blind. Maybe their has not been an official application...whatever that is... but they have made the calls and said they want in. And the B1G has had the calls to decide if they want to let them in. The Official app is just a technicality.

I guarantee every PAC school and Probably a couple Big 12 schools, called yesterday saying they want in and if they can and "official app" would come. Hell Im guessing ACC schools called and said they want in, and to leave the light on for them in 2036...
Probably just semantics here. Obv I agree calls and talks were had after the news broke yesterday. Going through the application process means that it is a done deal at that point and that is what I was referring to.

So, is it true that the ACC has ND's GOR if it decides to forgo their football independence?

If the ultimate goal is 20 teams the B1G, and the new additions, would probably like Oregon/Washington, Stanford to basically corner the west coast and it makes travel easier.

Leave 1 spot for ND (homerun) or someone else in the east...Maybe NC or Virginia. If it's 24 the SEC/B1G divide up the ACC.

b12 takes Arizona/ASU/CU/Utah/Cal maybe Louisville from the ACC? Maybe take WSU/osu to work their way to 24...

Who knows...

Three super conferences might be the end game. B1G/SEC/B12

I'm sure they have reached out, but it takes two to tango. What if the Big 10 said not at this time? Again, I haven't seen anything of any substance that Oregon and Washington to the Big 10 is going to happen. Wouldn't shock me if it did happen though.
Why is all the B1G fans on this board so sure that the B1G wont expand, wont grab more, that they wont do this or that. Do you all take everything your Commish says as Gospel? Last week you were SURE they wouldnt expand, because it didnt give you any advantage, and because Warren said, and no way they would go all the way to the West Coast. Kept telling me no way. Now you say oh they arent going to take Oregon or washington. blah blah. They are going to wait for ND and NC. Because you follow a guy on Twitter that says that, who has no grasp on reality and how a GOR works.

It'll be a game of chicken with them trying to raid each other if Pac stays at 10.

There were a lot of reports that new Big 12 was on par with Pac and ACC per school. Less than it was, but dramatically higher than American.

If those are anywhere near true the Pac is not more valuable minus SoCal and those two brands.

Geography may not matter for the giant cash pro conferences...but it might matter to this second tier of Pac/Big 12/ACC. Adding the 4 mountain schools to the Big 12 is a great geographic fit without a lot of overlap. Current B12 schools going to pacific northwest is not a fit for any team.

That guy was correct on USC spanning back to March lol. Time to give him a little credit. If the big is waiting on ND, and ND has not made it public they are staying with the status quo, then there is smoke there.

Have you heard that lawsuits filed against MSU, Iowa and Penn State could also drain the Big10 of up to half of their TV money for the next 10 years?

This....people on this board believe anything they find on twitter.
So you think calling and saying we want in, and asking to talk to the members if they can get in before they submit an official app is.......anything different. The official app is just a technicality. Everyone knows what the answer is going to be before that is even sent.

There wasn’t any real talk of expansion untill USC/UCLA reached out and said they were moving away from the PAC no matter what. It forced the big tens hand and caused a lot of this to be a bit rushed. Could the big ten add Oregon and Washington, absolutely. Will they be doing it soon? All indications point to no.
