I know I'd feel better if ISU were in a better position, even playing field with everyone (Salary Cap, no tampering, equal TV and league revenue sharing) If teams can make extra money on their own great.
The NFL executives/owners choose to promote the league and make the league stronger. This allowed the league to prosper and then the individual teams became stronger. It became more about the game within the game (drafting, salary cap management, coaching) etc. Had this not happened it would have been the top 5-10 big market teams only playing for Super Bowls. Atrophy sets in and people lose interest.
College Football is in a space now that requires leadership and vision which we don't have. I have no faith that any leader in college athletics associated with the BIG and/or SEC will make college football better similar to the NFL. The only reason being the money associated with the two conferences.
