Guessing he even used 3 shakes at the urinal instead of the allowed 2.I don't think the guy made one single right move at any point in the process.

What documentation is going to be uncovered? Not sure many schools will keep good records of "back room talks." I could be wrong though.File a lawsuit and get discovery.
FSU needs a place to go before they leave. From what I can see, neither the SEC or the BIG 10 have an apatite to expand until their next media deal (Or if ND wants in.)IMO, the statements FSU is putting out are proof positive they don't see a viable path to do a backroom deal to get out of the GOR. Any talk of blowing up the GOR in courts is a bluff. Their goal is likely to get a larger slice of ACC revenues, and the ACC might see giving them a bigger slice as a cheaper alternative to fighting an lengthy and expensive legal battle.
He went to the presidents with $31-$32 mill/school/year and the presidents turned it down?he sent the pac12 the same amount big12 got.... its the presidents that turned it down
yes. is was reported last week sometimeHe went to the presidents with $31-$32 mill/school/year and the presidents turned it down?
Holy crap. The market is what the vendor tells you, not what you estimate in house. GK’s leadership is a case study in incompetence.
Here’s the article McMurphy is referencing. It’s a good read:

Inside the Pac-12 collapse: Four surprising moments that crushed the conference
How did the Pac-12 die? These surprising decisions by USC, Oregon, Washington and others thwarted efforts to save the conference.www.latimes.com
Lol, which is exactly where they are now.Oops!
Oregon interim president Patrick Phillips vehemently shut it down. He said he would not have the Ducks in a conference where they have to take less money than UCLA, and any conversation about the possibility quickly died
The fact they wasted so much time on some devious plot with the Regents to block UCLA’s move is crazy.Oops!

Especially considering the Big 10 would have just turned around and invited Oregon or Washington instead.

Has anyone sent this article to Mandel or is he still spewing that the Big 12 ruined the Pac 12?This shows the greed of the Athletics departments broke up the conference , but everyone blames the TV money.
What happens when these teams that are used to going 11-1 and complaining, start going 7-5 in a super conference.
Their fans are going to be pissed.![]()
BIG 10 raided the PAC 12 and then went in for the kill shot.Has anyone sent this article to Mandel or is he still spewing that the Big 12 ruined the Pac 12?
Projections 101, give a range, not a specific number. Unless $50M was their minimum, in which case they f’d up that forecast. As somebody who created those types of models (in a different industry), this is my nightmare scenario. I cringe every time somebody asks for “a quick back of the envelope number, it doesn’t have to be perfect”.
I know the narrative on this board is that GK was an idiot while BY is a genius, but in reality I think the story is the B12 had realistic and strategically aligned presidents while the Pac had unrealistic arrogance. We were both offered the same deal. The B12 took it and established a look of strength and stability. The Pac rejected it and then floundered until they fractured. The commissioners get far too much credit and blame here. Even BY said in a recent interview that he got lucky, he had no idea the TV money and availability window was about to close.yes. is was reported last week sometime
