Who is TDS
Think we will get to players as employees and players unions in near future. That will impact a lot of things. You know what’s going to still be true after all this settles down? Only about 10 teams will have a realistic chance to ever win a NC. sooner or later those 10 teams will get tired of the Vanderbilts of the world getting paid the same as them. This will all blow up again
Utah fans call BYU TDS. Not sure what it means. Maybe some take on LDS.
The kind who say "TDS" are usually the kind who are positive the MWC is better than the Big 12.
I have seen in this thread someone said "Team Down South" similar to the clever people here who refer to U of Iowa as TOEUtah fans call BYU TDS. Not sure what it means. Maybe some take on LDS.

I'm more lukewarm on ASU/UT now UNLESS we have our strategy fully vetted for the ACC. That's our next threat/shopping area.
idk... at least the 12 team playoff helps widen that to 10. and i would imagine in the first 5 years of the 12 team playoff that at least 20 different teams will participate. thats got to help start to spread out the talent a bit because there is a chance at more schools. You know what’s going to still be true after all this settles down? tammy?? babe. im going back to the gym.Like when you get married and just let yourself go.
And poor ranking. Then a miracle happened - their ratings went up while the aau kicked them out. Why? Because 13 schools (big tin) voted them higher than they ever did when they were members of the big12. Us News rankings - generally ignored now.Nebraska was an AAU member when they first got into the Big 10.
Since it looks like Oregon & Washington are heading to the BIG, it would seem we can get anyone of the remaining PAC 6 that we want. That being said, I think it would be awesome if we took ASU and then invited UCONN to get to 16.
First, we would be the best bball conference by far, even though UCONN doesn’t add much for football…it would be fun to give Utah the conference they deserve.
The player in this is likely less about ASU and AZ and more about ESPN and FOX (because FOX needs to agree on pro-rata shares and ESPN will need to agree to waive the G5 exception).I think ASU is probably coming but thinking long term ACC it makes me really want UConn with them instead of Utah. I'd love to know if AZ/ASU are lobbying for Utah behind the scenes or if it's totally one on one talks with Utah and Yormark.
We are what we are in football and we don't have an opportunity to add Ohio State or Alabama the way we have an opportunity to add the #1 basketball program, let's be a no doubter second best basketball in USA behind only NBA. Extend the lead in the sport where we can control our fate.
The existential threat has passed, now let's capitalize what we can. Utah football isn't going to make or break the now 14+ team Big 12 in a post Pac and soon post ACC world.
The problem is, each conference and school is looking out for themselves and their own best interests. Same could be said for the networks. The NCAA doesn't provide a framework by where it's looking out for the overall interest of the sport(s).What's worse is all we did was reshuffle some teams around and pay them more. And then we left out 2 or 4 teams altogether.
What's the damn point. We rearranged geography, increased travel time/costs, ****** up a ton of longstanding rivalries - all for a few more bucks with a lot of chaos. In the end, some teams were big losers (OSU/WSU/Cal/Stan), some held serve (Big 12), some teams were big winners (Big 12 additions, BIG, SEC) which pissed off another entire league (ACC).
If everyone kept their damn hands off of things, we could have kept college football the way everyone loved it, added more money for teams, and went on with common sense CFB.
This would be the right thing to do but not the smart thing
