100%, the 2011 game where we beat them and cost them the national title shot was the best game I've ever seen at JTS....however a small part of me felt sick to my stomach for their fans because they seem similar to us (though a bit more success). As we were leaving, their fans congratulated us and I just said back to them "Wish it was against OU or UT"
I was talking about Oregon State

This mentality doesn't make sense. Pro-rata is good for 16 teams, so add 3 more. Improve the brand and messaging for the length of the new media deal. Big 12 isn't getting the best teams from the ACC anyway, so why wait? ACC and PAC remnants can merge to form a 2nd coast-to-coast conference like the Big 12.
Exactly. It’s like the tv networks/media wanting the big ten to stay the clear second favorite for when the acc explodes. Big ten is 78 pct water down dog poop. Northwestern, Minnesota, Illinois, Rutgers, Indiana, and can go on.

Well Arizona or UConn is a giant come down from UO UW and Zona.
I'm hoping this is another brilliant messaging tactic from the Big 12 - creating scarcity even though it's documented the pro rata is good for up to 3 more programs. If Big 12 gets 2-3 more PAC12 applications then they'll take them all.
Only way to make UCONN feel like a win is if 2 more PAC programs come with.

Pretty much. If we're lucky we could swing VT or NCST, but we're not in the running for the big prizes like UVA, UNC, FSU, or Clemson.

I'd assume if Big 10 and SEC get two each of ACC, UNC and UV go to Big and FSU/Clemsen go to SEC. If they get two more each, then the Big goes for Miami and GT while SEC goes for NCST and VT. Big 12 would get the remainders.

(This is assuming ND goes back to independent.)

I mean if you are Arizona how the hell do you even hesitate? Short term without CU yeah the PAC may be somewhat salvageable but again the money won't even sniff what the Big 12 has. Long term you know the PAC is done, they have no leverage left.

I think it’s a hostage situation at this point. They can’t sell it as a 100% banger until they see GK’s numbers. They KNOW, but they don’t KNOW. If you know what I mean lol.

But that’s the winning formula. It’s not about sporting achievement, it’s about money. That’s the formula that has made the Big 10 the richest conference.
