My guess is the plan will be to add more levels at the top, and more perks to go along with those new levels. I assume that there are a fair number of the $12,500 donors that are donating much more than $12,500. Seems as though those folks should get more perks.
I will continue to donate what I can at whatever level it takes to get a parking pass for football. Currently I donate more than my parking pass or my seat requires, and my wife, kids, and I are very happy with that.
1000 donors donating $500 each is $500,000. It's not much of a giveaway for the AD to encourage people to donate at the $20,000 level if only 100 of them bring in $2,000,000 and 10 at the $50,000 level bring in the same $500,000 as all those $500 donors.
Give people a chance to become donors at lots of levels just as in the past, but give people good reason to consider giving more.

Well the US hasn't had sustained deflation since the 1930s so why would anyone ever expect it would.
My understanding that in 1974-75.....It was just for the life of the donor and could not be passed on to family members but some of those great seats only went for 300/500/1000 dollars for a lifetime....Great investment I would say but then Earle Bruce moved on and Donnie Duncan ran the program into the ground ....Poor Donnie even applied for the Wichita State job and got turned DOWN......LOL...can you believe it.
I like your idea of tracking actually showing up ...now myself I started going to every game in 1975 thru Danny Mac's last game with KU...I missed four home games in that time period and of course we went to Mizzou and Kansas and KState road games every year we played at those places....also went to Oklahoma and that was a 59-14 disaster but we enjoyed the trip anyway....GO Cyclones
This was once true but I'm not sure it still is. At some point (early to mid-1990s IIRC), people who had seats under that deal had to begin donating at the appropriate level in order to keep them. My old man was among them, and his seats aren't great - so if he had to pony up, I'm assuming those with better seats had to as well, but I don't know that for a fact.
At one point wasn't there a program for new grads (maybe up to 3-4 years after graduation) where they got a break on their donation level?
This makes sense given the economic reality of the time. We'll all be better informed when more concrete proposals are released. It still is hard for those of us with young families, but I understand. There's benefits and drawbacks with every hard choice in life.
We need our own T. Boone Pickens;-) That would help. Perfect scenario: one with T. Boone's willingness to donate freely at those massive amounts, but without the expectation of control / pulling the strings. A Cyclone can dream, can't he!;-)

Asking for money now would be asking for open war with his fanbase. I'd bet we hear nothing until the tailgate tour this summer. Let fans cool off from basketball and start building up football

I would guess they will go thru renewals for 2020, then announce changes for 2021 AFTER the 2020 renewals are done. That would reduce confusion.

*Donor rankings are always available by logging into your account, click on Account Settings in the upper right corner, then click on Manage My Personal Profile. Donor rankings are updated every Monday throughout the year.
*Donors will select their parking lot online in late April/early May, appointment times are assigned by donor level and priority points. All donors seeking parking in the lots listed above must complete this process.
*Car parking pass must be purchased prior to March 31 deadline for consideration. Any passes purchased after this date will receive placement in the best available lot remaining after all parking selections have been completed.
