on the straight on look it didn't look like the UNLV player was anywhere near the ball, only hitting the net. Is that the UNLV player's hand in the cylinder?

The cylinder is from the rim upward, so his hand isn't in the cylinder.

He didn't touch the ball, so it's not goaltending.

It IS basket interference, though. The net is considered part of the basket (by definition), and it's basket interference to touch "any part of the basket while the ball is on or within the basket".

Two points, Arizona.

I'm really happy for Rashad. He's struggled somewhat against the better teams UNLV has played but had a "break out" game against some of the best. I'm glad BDJ is doing well at ISU. He's an intelligent, talented young man and I'm glad someone has been able to get the best out of him. Let me tell you guys this, though, with all due respect UNLV isn't paying any players. UNLV doesn't even have enough money to pay for a real coach. Kruger left because of money and Dave Rice only makes something like 750k a year. Hoiberg makes double that I'm sure. If anybody has the money to pay players, its P5 schools, not broke schools from the Mountain West. That being said I really don't know how UNLV is landing these recruits lately. There's always been good weather, pretty girls, etc. in Las Vegas but players haven't exactly been beating down the door until Rice got here, and then all of a sudden UNLV competing with Duke and Kentucky again for players. There's got to be something to it but I really don't think its about pay-offs.

UNLV has a lot of talent

Not sure how they land it

RV has been inconsistent and not been given much coaching but the raw talent is obvious

BDJ is a better one-year rental

RV would have been nice to have a precedent for future blue chip rentals from the NBA recruits

2 guard is our position of the most depth anyways

I figured they'd reach up and bite somebody at some point

That win will be huge for them towards them in the dance

Presuming they don't go 50% in their cute little conference

It has to be that pro style offense.

This haiku has way too many syllables.
