Alright. I guess I'll put the cat in the box and just clam up about it. Besides, tons of work today and I'll be busy like a beaver. We went to our HS's sectional volleyball championship game last night. Our team is super-good (4 division one seniors). Wisconsin's getting another really good setter from our school. She's ridiculously athletic, has a nasty serve (started off the match with a clean ace), and refuses to let the ball hit the floor. On top of that, she's a good friend of my daughter and is also really smart and charismatic. Her name could even come out of central casting for the name of the spunky, energetic athlete in a movie.
I have a question for you volleyball folks. One of our friends' daughter is a junior on the team. She's 5'10" and plays the full rotation but she's better as a hitter than in the back line. Can you make it as a 5'10" hitter in D-1 volleyball or will she need to try to make it as a setter or defensive specialist?
