Went to JD dealer. Dude in there all excited about them having free lunch so tellls me I have to take a sandwich. So I find the ends of the smoked loin and take them. Eat them on the way home. Supposed to swing by for a free lunch at another place. I’m going to gain weight like this. Bank brought me a couple big bags of goodies. I shouldn’t complain because I will have to start paying for my own meals in a week or two.

I should get a Halloween costume thingy for little man. We have his costume for our friends' party this weekend (yes, he's invited too, thankfully!) but I figure he needs something more interesting for daycare than an inside joke. Bones or pumpkin onesie???

Some friends had an adorable tuxedo footed sleeper for their little guy.

Went to the post office to mail my absentee ballot request form and buy a book of stamps and I waited in line for a solid 20 minutes. I guess I'm used to small town life where you can be in and out of a place in less than 5 minutes (unless of course you run into someone you know and have the obligatory 10 minute conversation about everything under the sun).

There is your problem. You have fun with girls, you date women.

Edit: as I typed, best friends girl comes on radio.
Eh, I disagree. “Woman” just sounds weird. And so does “man. If I was seeing someone I’d much rather be introduced as a “guy” or “boy” she was seeing instand of the “man” she was seeing.

I will throw it out there. No single guy wants to just be friends with any woman.
Going to completely disagree on this. I have a few really close friends who are girls that I am not interested in at all.

I was older, but I was a cow for Halloween when I was about 2. That might be a good idea for next year.

So last night this one idiot on the Disaster Recovery management team sends an email that this one client, who is very demanding of idiotic things, wanted a matrix of what times people would be covering their disaster recovery test.
So I sent back that I would cover 8am-8pm Central and the guy in India would cover 8pm - 8am Central. That way we would both just be up during our respective days.

Idiot DR manager responded the matrix was in eastern time and wanted to know how our times would correlate.

While I think I might agree, I understand the original sentiment. I think he was just making an old man maturity joke/advice statement.

Aren't women supposed to mature faster than men though?

Inside joke costume? My curiosity is piqued.

so while perganent our friend group would make jokes about DH's work "uniform" (jeans + polo) and it became this thing where we said we should dress the baby the same way. Well, I have a little polo and baby jeans to put him in that match DH's. So our friends will get it but to anyone else it looks like I didn't really dress him up. We debated whether DH should dress to match OR we all three dress like each other. I got an adult footie pajama to dress like the baby so maybe I go that route. Or should I dress like DH as well??? The option for DH was to dress like me cause friends point out how much I wear purple/maroon so I thought that would be funny that we'd all dress like one another. But maybe all of us as DH is better...
