Random Thoughts XII - This Thread Delivers

So, my office manager said she was going to wish a co-worker HB. His birthday was actually last week. I told her it would have to be a belated HB. She said she was just trying to be nice.

My question is if you are trying to be nice, does that mean you are generally not a nice person? Or, if you are a nice person, is it considered trying to be mean, when you are? Inquiring minds want to know.

FYI, I do consider her a generally nice person who has her "moments."
 
The weirdest thing about the leaf blowers this morning is that it was rainy this morning. But it's fall and NOTHING can stop the leaf blowers from now till first snowfall.

Is he interested in coaching like his brother?

It was kind of cool a few years ago when his brother was managing CR Joe and another guy got sent down for a couple of rehab starts. Everything I heard was he was pure class. The last night they were here Joe and the other major league guy paid to have good pre and post game meals brought in.

Took this week off. So far rain or drizzle the first three days. That shoots any chance of a bike trip.
Turned the heat on. Temps haven't hit 55 the last few days.

Saw video of that and David Wright's sendoff with the Mets. Both left me pretty dusty. I have a little bit more love for guys that stick it out with one team their entire career.

I admit I’m as ***. So I would have to try to be nice.

Not even then, sometimes. I saw a guy one time blowing snow off his driveway with a leaf blower (albeit a light, dry fluffy snow).

I actually have a hard time seeing the actress who plays Flo as a normal person, I just think of her as that character. It’s like the feeling you get as a kid when you see you teacher at non-school events

Everything I know about Claudine Longet is from the SNL skit. Therefore, I know that she shot a skier.

Another Chinese language voice message this morning. Too late I realized my phone was giving me a choice of either hearing audio or something else -- I assume written word -- because of the "translating" progress bar I saw later.
Plus, I just got a call from "United States." How lucky I am.
