Interesting take from the Packer/Viking game Sunday.....seems like everyone except the NFL brass is angry with the phantom roughing-the-passer calls. Patrick Reusse, long-time and well-respected columnist for the Minneapolis Star/Tribune, even penned a column that pretty much shamed referee Tony Corrente and the NFL for the call on Clay Matthews.

Floods are coming, backyard has a lagoon. Pushing 7 inches in 36 hours. It can be done now. Haven't checked up north, but was 2 inches less going into yesterday pm.
Soon the baby will start to sleep through the night and you'll wake up thinking something is wrong because he isn't fussing.
I try to stay up in case kids need help with homework. Oldest taking college classes for business, so I get those. Then again, I've gotten the homework since they have hit middle school. So I get to bed around 1. Wife gets up at 5 to walk, being quiet and trying to keep things dark in the bedroom isn't her style. Closet lights always on with the door open. So I basically get up at 5
I wish they would put fridge temps on the door of what the actual temp is. Leaving the fridge door open longer than needed is a pet peeve of mine. Pounded into me growing up not to waste electricity. Wife gets milk while she makes her breakfast and will leave each door wide open until she puts her plate away and then puts the milk in the fridge and shuts the doors. Drives me crazy. It's a combo thing. I like closed doors, she loves open doors on everything. Between the fridge door haning open and the pantry doors open, there is about a foot of space for me to get through in the mornings.

When I spike that quickly, I usually break hard also. Which means you will be sitting there and be sweating like the scene in Airplane where it looks like hes standing in a shower. Clothes will be drenched. If while sleeping, your sheets, bedding and everything will be a pond. Best to throw the pillow out because it will be toast.

Herb Carneal was forever trying to get Halsey to giggle (which wasn't very hard). Lots of play-by-play missed, but Halsey was quite the character.
Just got a notice on my phone about a flash flood possible for my county. Dude, it has happened, I have a river in my alley. Walked through with sliders on and its up to my ankles at shallowest point to cross.

I remember we had a flash flood in the floods of 93. I was up one night watching TV and it sounded like it was pouring rain out. When I say pouring I mean like a giant bucket of water being poured over the house. I looked out the window and nothing, then realized my street was a raging river.
My high school was purple and gold which I hated. To make matters worse we had purple and gold hats with nothing but a big zero on them.
The only thing worse was my previous school was black and gold and their fight song was the hawkeye fight song. I would have been okay with the black and gold if I didn't have to hear that hawkeye **** along with it. I did like the logo though which was unique.
Somebody out there is thinking I know exactly which two schools you went to. Don't out me.
