Car Dead? Call Fred! 391-9666.

Been at least 20 years since I heard the second one. Seared in my brain

This one used to drive me nuts. I still find myself saying it every once in a while, but my wife is from Arizona so she doesn't have a clue about it.

Not exactly sure.
Went to 5th grade orientation the other night for youngest. One of the teachers said, if your child does not bring home this yellow paper for you to sign, make sure to ask them for it. My thoughts were, you have the whole grades parents tonight, we all have to come back for conferences tomorrow, why not just have us sign them tonight and tomorrow and not worry about having a kid shuttle them back and forth. Must by why I'm not in education, doesn't apparently work.

Come to Dallas in September. By then it'll be cold enough that the buds on my tomato plant won't fall off due to heat. Hell make it October.

Plus I'm walking distance to the State Fair. Which is far superior than the Minnesota one
Natural born Minnesota folks would say them's fightin' words.

Most insults launched at Minnesotans are shrugged off as being annoying, petty and beneath a Minnesotan. There are two things you don't say.
1. The Minnesota State Fair is overrated
2. Walleye isn't that good

The only argument I could agree with is teaching the kids a small responsibility task

I don't think the Minnesota State Fair is overrated. Those cookie buckets are though...

I've been to 6 state fairs. Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, Texas, Oklahoma, and North Carolina.

Iowa, Minnesota, and Texas are all on a different level by far. My research in the other ones I've been able to back this up to. Those are easily the top 3 in the country

Yeah, then they just learn to do what I did. My mom wrote all notes to the school and signed everything, so i would just sign my dads name and call it good. Didn't worry about showing that B- test to my folks because dad magically signed it.

I just ******* love when the airline waits for the whole plane to board before telling everyone there is a problem and then make everyone deboard

To be fair there is still a lot going on when the plane is being boarded and stuff can happen/be found at any time. When I worked at the DSM airport two things happened to planes I was fueling that caused a delay/cancellation. On a Delta MD-80 while fueling and I believe while passengers were boarding (it is usually at least beginning during this time) all of a sudden the plane shook. I looked around and didn't see anything so I just kept fueling. When I got done and took the paperwork up to the pilots I saw that the push back tug had run into the nose cracking the nosecone. Obviously that is a no-go thing and being at an outstation (DSM) it is not going to be easily fixed. They ended up delaying it by six or so hours and swapping it with the terminator taking anyone that was left out at like 10PM.

Another one was again on an MD-80 this time for American. I get hooked up and start fueling only for it to start raining fuel out of the connection point. Obviously that is a no go situation and again we are at DSM and it is after hours so they had to call in maintenance. I think that was about an hour long delay and the problem was a screw had gotten loose leaking fuel.

Thankfully I never overfueled that is very very bad.

What??!!??? Hostas don't die....in fact, I don't think you can kill them.

No, they will be back next year. Mostly my Ginko Craig hosta turned yellow and wilted.

They do age out and decline though. Got some struggling in the deepest darkest shade of my jungle. You know you got some deep **** shade when the hostas and pachysandra struggle.

Chilly today so I put kiddo in a sleeper. He's not going to fit it much longer. We have a bunch of newborn onesies (mostly gifts, I only bought like, 6-8) that I suspect he's already grown out of without ever wearing them. With the heat and his tendency to overheat, I only put him in clothes when we had to go somewhere in the car or had visitors. Looking at getting more sleepers and I think we'll skip straight to the 3-6 mos clothes. Cool story bro, I know. I'm just surprised how quickly they grow. He gained 1lb 10oz in the two weeks between appointments.

I believe I read somewhere the cutoff was 97 for millennials. Anything after that, they don't remember 9/11 and that's the supposed cutoff. It's a catalystic event that changes generations.
