We have had a busy and fun weekend. Z got to ride her first rollercoaster which will forever be the 'The Horror Ride'. I had forgotten what The Underground was, it was pretty tame she got to ride a few other new to her things and some how ended up bringing more stuffed animals home. Oh! Don't forget the zombie toy.
I had forgotten about that ride. I always found it terrifying and am still probably scared of it

Entertaining weekend. Had to work but also did some fun stuff. Went to the Belmond thresher days, They did a spark show along with fireworks at dusk. They get a steam engine all fired up then hook it to a big fan so the longer it is on the harder it pulls, they then start throwing shovelfuls of sawdust in the firebox, they ignite and then come out in a whirlwind of sparks up to about 30 ft high. When it first starts the embers reach the fan but as it gains speed the embers are only getting by the end of the steam engine by 15 ft or so. It was pretty cool if your into steam engines and stuff.

Rode around Clear lake this afternoon and caught the MC slow roll in the evening. Throw in some pretty easy days at work and it was a pretty good weekend.

Thought of @Wxman when driving by the MC airport three biplanes all parked in a row. They looked pretty shiny and nice.

Do you like Greek seasoning on a steak with it drowned it melted butter?

I don't, so I only go there when the other person won't consider any other place.

I've heard a lot of positive about Gejos in Clear Lake, not for steaks but for very good food.

It's been quite a while, but we are watching Starman tonight. It's still a very charming movie. :)
Karen Allen made a bunch of movies that were hits. Animal House, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Starman, Scrooged, Sandlot. Then she just kind of fell off the radar. The Perfect Storm was the last one I saw her in, and it was a relatively small part.

Do people still know Scrooged happened? That was a great little film.

Gave myself a haircut this weekend. Wifey-poo bought me a set of hair clippers probably 15 years ago -- one of the best investments I've ever made (sorry cosmetologists). I use a number 2 attachment (1/4") and do my whole head, then WP trims my neck and around the ears.

So, I started in and the clippers weren't cutting hardly at all. So I took the bottom plate off, and the cutting blade, and there was an accumulation of fine hair stopping things up. Took about 5 minutes to clean it out, and put back together. Hit the switch, and it seemed to be back in working order.

Time for a test run. Buzzed up the right side back of my head and it cut like a dream. Unfortunately, I realized too late that I'd forgotten to put the #2 back on. I did the rest with the attachment in place, but if you know it's there, the error is still quite noticeable. Then I made the mistake of telling my oldest daughter, who works with me. Word spreading is an incredible thing to see.

Busy tiring weekend. My best friend since pre-school got married and I was the best man. The wedding was Sunday with the rehearsal on Thursday evening due to venue scheduling. Friday night we hosted a get together with the wedding party and narrowly avoided a groomsman puking in the middle of our living room.

It was fun but damn am I tired today.
