But seriously. I'm not in the shape I need to be in (yet) to start my Instagram fitness modeling career, so I'm not anywhere close to expecting guys to fall over themselves for me.

And looking at my earlier post, it almost seems disrespectful to other women, which totally wasn't intended. I know what I look like, and I'm pretty sure I'm 25th percentile at best. But it's funny, I do seem to appeal to some guys, and that's fine. I'll take that.

I have always found kindness, humor, and intelligence to be the most attractive traits. You clearly have those regardless of height. Must admit, fell hard for husband’s eyes though.

Just found out my last remaining Grandmother died this morning. It's really a blessing though. She was 98 years old, and suffering badly from dementia. I really hope Dad is doing okay. :(

Flying Thursday night to Alabama for the funeral, which is Friday. Please God, let my extended family be good-- this will be my first (post-transition) time seeing many of them.

Not the same, but when my sis graduated from Kirkwood, my grandma was there. I came in with the mindset that its about my sister. Might help to remember that going in and remind anyone that makes a big deal that its a day about your grandma.

Plus, just beat the crap out if them if they piss you off.;)

Have wondered if you might be able to teach online AP stuff if someone would have an opening.

My kids have taken a lot of AP Calculus from some high school teacher in Washington state.

Maybe. I haven't seen anything.
Weird as it sounds, I actually might take a couple courses just to stay sharp, pick up a little bit of public history and qualify for insurance. Gonna hurt in the long run, but doing nothing and losing insurance isn't a real option, either.

You could maybe get an academic advisor job at ISU? There is a Chem Engineering one advertised. I know the ones my Engineering kids have had, only about half had any engineering background. I would think those have benefits, might be for a school year?

I hate these type of day(s)...

At work yesterday at 5a, leave at 1p to go directly to the other job. Am there until about 6:15p. Go home, take a shower and change, then out to Eddyville to see if EBF SB makes it to state. (They didn't, lost to Benton Community) Back home, not really tired, and probably don't fall asleep until 10:30p.

Then I wake up at 5a this morning, the time I'm supposed to be back at work. Crap. So hustle and get there by 5:30. Am there until almost 2p. Run an errand, pick up some food, get home, there's a note taped to everyone's door. They're going to be inspecting the building for leaks because of "high water bills" late afternoon tomorrow. 1) I'm back to the evening job tonight...will be here until...9ish? 2) Another 7a-2p shift awaits me tomorrow.

Needless to say, my apartment is in less than ideal condition, and I really don't have time to address it the way I want. So, it'll be getting "a lick and a promise" type cleaning, as my mom would say.

I've applied for several. Two of them reopened. The others didn't make contact.

They'd be a great job and I'd love to do it. No department has returned that interest.

Applying for anything with a PhD suggests that you don't want to stay in a field other than your own. I haven't been successful at overcoming that hurdle yet.

Well, maybe 4% of you that are interested in a six-foot amazon. :) Seems like most guys are more into the porcelain doll princesses. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Most guys *think* that is what they want. :p My husband likes long blonde hair and big boobs. I don’t have two of the three, and I pay a lot of money to be blonde (haven’t paid money for the other two . . . Yet) But somehow we have been together for 25yrs and married for 21. ;)

I'm really sorry to hear about your grandma @harimad

Happy belated birthday, Chaser! Also, Chaser and SCyclone, what do you think of the term "Sconnie" to refer to someone from Wisconsin? It always sounds like a slur to me.

And Harimad and 2015, what was going on in that subreddit and why were people banned? I got banned from the college football subreddit for 24 hours once, but that was because I told a Sooner fan to go **** themselves (and I still think it was justified)

Finally caught up.

Happy birthday to Chaser and Velo!

@stormchaser2014, watch the news tonight! The place across from where we played trivia every week most of the past year blew up!!!! They always had the best bar signs to read. The one up last week was "due to the heat, we will no longer accept tip money pulled from bras." That one's a bit more risque but they had some good ones. Sure it'll be top story.

Boxster, I'm a little freaked out at how many spiders you are finding!

Erik (and Revkah) sorry to hear the job search/insurance/medical stuff.........I sure hope something pans out soon

harimad, sorry to hear on your grandma and I hope the visit goes well.

If you ever need an ego boost, do a gym class very pregnant. It seems to impress people even if they didn't seem to notice you just mostly step on and off a bench with a weight over your head and skip most of the harder stuff. Think I'm done for a while now though because they're closed next week to refinish floors. Sadder than I thought I'd be....weird. Just feeling lots of things about impending life changes. I tend to not love change (even wanted, happy change) so there's enough fear and anxiety in my head to power a small town.

The ego boost lady tonight was like "I remember being that pregnant" - turns out her baby is almost a year old and she looks great and was in my class tonight. So that was really good for me to see. Proof that people who want to get back into that, can and do. So I can too.

You guys gotta talk less the next two days. I'm occupied evenings too and won't be able to stay caught up.

Edit: sounds like our trivia place was damaged as well. Have to imagine it was with reports of blown out windows several blocks away.

Further edit, I wonder how I didn't see the smoke driving home from the gym. Literally happened as I'd have been heading home.

Thanks. I'll record it.

It's stupid to use that to describe a person from here. It's okay for things like specialty food items at bars.

Cable company hit a gas line on the main street. Did they not call digger's hotline first????

Beautiful day on the lake.

We came close to a gas line once grinding a stump. I saw it when I started filling in the hole. Wasn't as deep as it should have been.
My dad and I had a similar experience last summer. We were digging a trench for our sump pump drain and knew we were going to have to cross the fiber optic line but the cable company said it was at least 14" deep and we'd easily be able to see it. At about 8" deep my dad literally took the shovel out of my hand as I was about to dig again and there was the line. It was a dull red color (I'm colorblind so I could hardly see it even after my dad pointed it out) and no bigger than a headphone wire. I had hit it with the shovel the previous scoop but luckily didn't cut it.
