I know Twister is a pretty campy movie and all, but Phillip Seymour Hoffman is still ******* amazing in it.

Ugh, this heat though... 
Arrived in KC yesterday for DD's softball tournament. Seven game minimum (more if they do well in bracket play) in 95+ degree weather. Starting with three games tomorrow. And DD had a pre-tournament camp today, so she's already had eight hours in the sun before a game has been played. She pitched one inning (went 1-2-3) and hit into two 6-3 groundouts, against other campers in a game, after all the instruction and evaluation sessions were done.
Good thing is Jamie Trachsel was there watching, and so was one of the ISU assistants. DD has ISU and Minnesota 1-2 on her wish list. She wants to study genetics.
