I bought tickets for 3 games this season.
SDS - Cancelled.
WVU - I see now I can't make it
KSU

I should be able to get to the Incarnate Word game. Next year I'll just buy a mobile pass if they are still offered. It's easier to just have a ticket to every game than to buy a few random games because I just can't plan ahead that far.

The first job ad specifying someone like me just appeared!

Somehow, they included this goal/requirement:
"The ideal candidate will also have the ability to teach courses in at least one geographical area outside the United States, preferably China, the Middle East, Africa, or World and provide evidence of strong scholarship. A Ph.D. in relevant field of study is required at time of appointment."

WTH? People doing US history don't pick up those fields. Who do they think exists out there?

Called up to set up Life Alert for my mom who has been having a few more issues as late but wants to stay in her own home. Guy there told he about his dad who is near the same age. Just got him a smart phone. He doesn't understand it completely but has taken to texting quite a bit. His texts consist of random emojis. Like :):), and that is all he sends and will group text it to everyone in his contact list. He said his dad will follow up to make sure they got his message, even though nobody understand it.

My father is now wearing a life alert (FINALLY!!!). He's in an apartment and shares meals, but he is unsteady and doesn't like to admit weakness like using a walker. This was how we got him to compromise.

Oh, my dear...you are WRONG!!!

"Adaptive camoflage — The V12 is also equipped with a sophisticated cloaking device. Tiny cameras project what they see onto a light-emitting polymer skin on the opposite side, rendering the car effectively invisibile to the naked eye."

Yes, I forgot about the one in iceland. That is quite a few years ahead of this movie though. Christopher Walken and tonya roberts are young in this one. M must have really been behind the bad guys and their blimp back then.

My Mom is 87 and still lives by herself at the lake. I'd bet if we asked her about it, she'd wear a Life Alert. She's one of those pragmatic Scandinavians.

so remember how DH got a jury duty letter? He got called up and had to go in today. Then texted around 11 that he got picked for a trial starting this Thursday. He said it's only supposed to be a half day............better be, we have stuff going on next week!

Also, he told me one of the other people was wearing a Trump/Pence shirt. Knowing the location, I think someone was doing their best to not get picked.

This not sleeping after 3am unless it's on a person thing probably needs to stop too but I have little willpower at that time of morning. Also, why is it still so hot?!

I learned a good position on our couch where we could both sleep and I felt confident that Z wouldn't fall/roll/smother. Otherwise slept in the rocking chair.

I happened to look at our kitchen sink after supper and noticed it wasn't drain. Tried ssmething and the water went into the second sink. Then someone flushed and I saw water in my sink. Called/texted the LL and water drained enough I thought we'd be ok till tomorrow. Next thing we know water flooded out of the sink.

Good news is that the LL got ahold of the plumber and they came by tonight.

Our floor is covered in wet towels and needs disinfected. But at least the issue ought to be fixed.

Ew...and Yay!

Think I may bookmark this thread and abandon the rest of CF. Other threads are making me kinda hate humans.
Honestly that CBA thread was civil much longer than I anticipated as I was reading through then it went downhill fairly quickly. Not sure what other threads you're thinking of though.

Specify that you are an expert on Australia and if they ask about it state that it doesn't really exist.
