When making spaghetti, do you mix the noodles and sauce together or leave them seperate?
I leave them seperate so I can put the amount of sauce on I want, and leftover noodles with butter and asparagus is good. GF mixes together. Who is correct?

Separate. Hubby likes sauce with lots of meat, I like plain sauce, and three out of four kids just eat the noodles with no sauce. If we would have spaghetti at either of our parents’ house it would also be separate. You win.

Authentic Italian cuisine always has the sauce incorporated with the pasta. You want to combine the pasta and sauce shortly after removing the pasta from the cooking liquid so the residual starch molecules help the sauce stick to the pasta. If you keep them separate, you'll be eating a substandard meal. You separatists are insane.

My basenjis liked their spaghetti without sauces. So there!

And flashback for me of Sasha slurping single long strands of the noodles called spaghetti. :)

I’m more than 50% German. I’ll mix my own IF I want to. I usually don’t want to.

Noodles on plate then sauce on top. You mix them together on the plate.

That way if there's multiple people eating it, they can choose how much sauce to put on.

This is America--it's up to each person to decide how to prepare their food that doesn't have origins in America.

I want to wash things, but the washing machine always has unwashed stuff in it. The wife gets upset that I don’t wash stuff but then gets upset when I take the few things out to wash stuff.

Only way I get ahead is if I get stuff washed and dried while she is gone and put every back.
