So, my sister graduates from Kirkwood tomorrow.

Problem that I'm going to have is my grandma that I haven't talked to since 2013 is going to be there. I know I need to move on and I know what I want to say, I'm just struggling with what to do. I don't want to interfere with my sister's moment, but I'm betting there will be pressure from someone about this.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
You don't have to seek your grandmother out; you can probably just lose yourself in the crowd. If she seeks you out, be polite, and then excuse yourself to go talk to someone else.
Big one: if your sister wants a group picture, don't be the one that refuses. You'll hurt your sister, not your grandmother.

Best of luck to you!

Interesting. You're hogs, she's beef. You grew up on a farm, right? Did you have crops, livestock, or both?

Grandma and grandpa farm. More hobby farm than anything. Mostly beef and chickens. Some crops and get ground. Basically my second home for the first 19 years of my life.

My only niece, blood one that is, got engaged. At least wife told me, one of the few times that not have Facebook leaves me behind. Nice kid, his mom is from the town south of where I live now. Won’t hold that against him.

Happy Mother's Day Weekend to all the RTT muthas.

Ah, now I feel bad. I bet that woman behind me (who I flipped off) honking her horn at me to turn right at the stop sign exiting Byerly's was probably a mom. :( Anyway, no, I cannot turn right into rush hour traffic when my view left is TOTALLY blocked by the yuge mothership SUV in the left lane. I ain't Superman, I cannot see through solid objects.

Seriously, this happens all of the time. You can't turn right on red or at a stop sign if your view is totally blocked by a car in the lane left of you. JFC.

So the new NBC dateline came from Wisky tonight. Crazy case out of the Green Bay area where a fitbit helped prove the boyfriend's innocence.

I missed part of it - what was the fitbit data they used? The guy they jailed clearly seemed guilty in the interviews. He got so angry and condescending toward people.you could easily see him snapping if a woman turned him down

@cmjh10, disliked because I felt bad for you. I had the same situation in family for many years, until I swallowed my pride and made amends. Things are way better now.

And I'm sure this wasn't your fault - nor was it mine. I just decided to try and make it better. Good luck to you!

All women are not mothers. ;)
I'm pretty sure Sara doesn't have any kids - but she DOES have a pretty cute niece that looks a lot like her! :)

This much I know, from my fantastic ISU education.

I guess maybe I assumed she was - but I also think on Mother's Day we should salute women everywhere, because Lord knows they deserve it.

Happy Mother's Day!!!! :D
