Never fails - when I pull out the phone, they quit!
Cricket got her name because that was pretty much the only noise she made when she was a kitten. She would stalk her brothers and click/chatter at them.
I know all kinds of stuff I would rather not due to previous jobs and husband’s job.

Loved listening to announcers count the missed tackles in any given run DM made...and yards gained after first contact. DM is a beast!
They better watch themselves, I did work near where Nic Cage Stole the Declaration.
Nothing would prevent it right here in the RTT, though you might be viewed with disfavor by some, I'm sure.

Tab is sitting on the corner of my desk chattering to a pileated woodpecker on the feeder outside the window. Cats make the weirdest noises when they're focused on "prey"...but I'll take it over barking any day.
Basenjis don't bark.
Full Disclosure, they can scream and whine though. No, really, scream and cry.
Oh, I remember those days when you'd be holding the baby, and they would make this little cute frowny face and suddenly the hand you were balancing their back with would be wet and brown.
Beware the baby scrunchy face!
I haven't been around cats a great deal, but I have never heard a cat make noises like that. I wonder if the cat is trying to mimic the sound of the bird to confuse it, or make it think it isn't being stalked by a predator.

Just popping in to say I donated blood this morning. I'm too short for double red, and that makes the blood center people sad because my red count is so high.
Not all cats make the sound, either. Of our six, Cricket, Tab & Milo do. Milo also does a high-pitched "mew" sound. Button is dead silent. Mel is too old to care, and Molly rarely looks out the window. She spends most of her time with her toy mousies.
I should add, Button is the only one who has hunted recently. We brought her & her son Tab in from outdoors last summer. While she & her four kittens were still in the garage, she hunted for them. We learned two things from that: Button was capable of bringing down a full grown rabbit that outweighed her, and leftover ground squirrel tails are the preferred kitten toy.
I wish I had a clip of our last cat, Jinx. I never heard any cat - before or since - that purred louder than he did. I swear the china in the hutch rattled on occasion.
Ordered 280 lamps they came packaged individually and broken. Got replacement lamps......
