Oh, in Olympic news....ish. Husband worked with one of the play-by-play guys for curling. But, to break the illusion, he's actually in Connecticut, not in Korea.

Our freight truck couldn't get here from Rockford, so it's coming on Monday. Driving home around 6:15, and it had been snowing those big, fluffy, "pretty" snowflakes for a little over an hour. I get passed on a bridge by a full-sized pickup that might have been going over the speed limit. (45 mph...I was doing 35-40) Driver punches it as the light turns green just past the bridge, where the street starts going uphill and then a fairly sharp curve. That dude was fishtailing pretty bad up that hill. Idiot.

Can someone explain the hate people have for Ed Sheeran? I feel like he's getting the Nickelback treatment and I'm not getting it. I don't like everything the guy does, but I think he's pretty damn talented.

Is it just cool to hate on him right now?

He is one of my "turn the station immediately" artists. Not sure why, just not a favorite. Except my "turn the station immediately" list is quite extensive and I tend to tick off any passengers trying to listen to music.

@SCyclone - well, you warm up with an appetizer of Crustos ©. You then just have a single hard shell taco, because you're really just warming up for your dessert of Crustos ©.
They're not my favorite thing on the menu (though they're certainly not bad), but Crustos is my favorite name for an item on the menu. It just has that ring of authentic Mexican food.

Highway 20 is still 100% snow/ice covered, streets in town are OK, although some of the lesser used streets aren't plowed very wide. We got about 10" last night (waiting for @BCClone to chime in on that). No rumors of Tico closing, they are doing a brisk business. I have to go there for @Angie, LMK if you're coming and we can team up.
Not coming this weekend. Parents confirmed that you got a **** ton of snow. It seems that you received about double the forecast. I'll shoot again for 2 weeks from now.

He's not that bad but my wife really likes his music right now and I'm pretty tired of hearing, "Echo, play Perfect by Ed Sheeren".

I still love the fact that you went to a guy's house that looked like him and you were making Ed Sheeran references while your wife kicked you under the table.

While I'm amazed at this, you haven't missed much. I used to like their chicken and clam strips, but it's pretty tough to stomach anymore. That, plus I could park at a real seafood restaurant, order receive and eat my food, and be back in the car quicker than I get my food at a LJS drive thru.

Ha, I forgot about him. My niece kicked young Ed Sheeran to the curb shortly after that meal.

This will show my cheapness. I was at target getting the 90% ground beef. 85 is too fat and 93 was more expensive for what I wanted. I then looked at the price of 85 - way cheap, and 93 - not much more than 90. So I bought a pound of each to make 89 for way less than the 90%. Biggest problem was explaining it to the wife and the reasoning behind it. She doesn’t look at prices, takes the first she sees that is the same she wants.

Actually, if you're grilling burgers you probably want to use 80/20......otherwise they will want to stick to the grill, plus you will get much better flavor. I know, I know, flare-ups - but to me it's still worth it. I will use leaner when I'm doing tacos, spaghetti, chili, etc, because I hate spooning liquid fat out of the skillet after it's done cooking.

I honestly hardly ever grill burgers. Either steaks, brats or pork patties are the main things. When we make hamburger, we generally microwave it. You can then dump it in a strainer and catch the majority of the grease.

Btw, i don't mind some spooning.

Pretty sure electrical problem, they were just pitch black and not super dim. My headlights yesterday were atrocious till I washed them off.
From about November through March you will find at least one car if not three or four without their headlights on during the evening commute. Generally you can see them but when you look in your mirror you can only tell they are there by there being a big dark spot in the wall of headlights behind you. To be fair, it is tough to tell your lights aren't on when you have your nose buried in your phone. It is probably just a matter of time until those guys get hit by someone changing lanes into them or something like that. And Minnesota has "no fault" insurance.
