So I got home last night - I had already set the DVR to tape the ISU/WVU game - and was promptly informed on KCCI that the Clones were up by 12 points. (!!!!!!!) I decided not to tempt fate and turn it on, because my poor karma would certainly have wrecked any positive vibes the guys had managed to create.

Good choice, as it turned out. I will watch in its entirety tonight. @carvers4math, I haven't been on the game blog - were there actually negatives being posted?

I've been using Taxact.com for years to e-file. My taxes aren't all that much. Just mortgage interest, property taxes and charitable donations. Takes me 30-60 minutes and a moderate amount of swearing to get them filed.

Chaser I have had good experiences with both TaxAct (A Cedar Rapids company and one of Bob Parsons first ventures before starting GoDaddy here) and TurboTax. If you are serious about starting your woodworking business thing we use QuickBooks self employed to track everything and it has an option to automatically import to Turbo Tax. $15 a month gets us that plus free filing. Otherwise just track everything in spreadsheets and you should be able to figure it all out at the end of the year.

Just have everyone pay you in cash. Isn't it a rule that if it's straight cash homie, it doesn't count? Thought accountants always say that.

Mostly negative before game. The die hards also negative during and after.

I muted the game while watching, seemed lucky. Going to watch with sound today and laugh.

Went out to eat with some friends last night at The Other Place near my house. I had the game set to record on DVR and ended up staying there and watching the game with a few other Cyclone fans that we ran into.

So, fair warning. If you wear Cyclone gear when you're in KC, I will find you ..... and probably talk to you.

Everyone knew this year was a complete rebuilding season yet some of these "fans" can't accept that. The team will be fine. They keep showing improvement and with next years class they should start making some noise. The lack of consistency is just youth.

CFH's last season, we were flying out to Washington to see our girls and grandkids. We had a layover in Denver and found a tequila bar - the ISU first-round tournament game was on. Three guys at the bar in Cyclone garb (I had my "Mayor Fred" T-shirt on), we ended up taking over the place. I guess we can be pretty rowdy at times. :p

Football is the same. Problem is they have twice as much time to babble on those. I will pay attention to Holly's interviews and maybe a couple others. The rest, it seems to me so I may be stretching it, are strictly hired to look good. Some of their interviews are harsh. Like asking a coach after they got beat by 35 points, what his thoughts of what went wrong. If you lose by 30 plus, about everything went wrong.
