What, the Hungarian gals ain't taking care of that? If they won't work the snow I am sure the Russian gals can handle it.

Don’t think the wife would believe me if I said they are live in snow clearers. Besides most of these mail orders are blondes, and I prefer brunettes. I would say my wife is but I’d have to check our engagement photo to confirm.

Cripes, as I type this, 900 number phone crap just came on. Thought the internet killed off that stuff.

Joined this local Facebook group of city citizens last month. Joined to say something nice about how the city got my broken water main fixed in 12 hours in subzero weather. Got a comment at the time that it was nice to see something other than people complaining. Man, I see what she meant now. My newsfeed is getting flood by people pissing and moaning about snow plowing. What a bunch of big ******* babies. I expect most, if not all, the city streets will be plowed before work commute tomorrow. And it still snowing.
Those local Facebook pages bring out the meanest and strangest people.

What I hate is you rarely get them back. The last apartment I was in I left it far cleaner than it was when I moved in and still got nothing.

I always hear people complain about it, but I thought it was more of a "something for comics to start a bit about" than anything. I have lived in 6 apartments and 1 duplex, and I have gotten every single security deposit back.

To top it off, in one of those, I had a ferret pull the outlet plate off the wall and crawl inside the wall. My wife ripped apart a chunk of the drywall to get it out. I patched it up and painted it, but I didn't color match it that well.

Looking back, it's entirely possible that I just lived in really ****** places and as long as I didn't burn the place down I was golden.

Ok........ you owned a ferret?? Or were they just roaming around wherever you lived? Sounds like a pet I’d be more afraid of. Wife’s BIL had a pet raccoon. It sits on top of their bookcase because when he died the BIL had him stuffed.

Pets I've had:

dogs - as a child on the farm

cats - I've had inbred farm cats in my youth as well as my two current indoor residents

bettas and other random fish - pro tip, keep bettas separate from other fish if you want to keep the other fish

rabbit - found him outside our rental house in college, cute little dude, became our party mascot, **** everywhere and did not care

guinea pig - nature's jester, made all sorts of funny noises and ran like it was a furry sausage on short legs, chewed through electrical cords, like the rabbit-**** everywhere and did not care

chinchilla - cool pets, trying to catch a hyper one is like throwing a bouncy ball down a marble hallway as hard as you can and trying to grab it, cuddly, takes dust baths (which are freaking adorable), drawback - their defense mechanism is standing on their hind legs and spraying urine in a lawn-sprinkler fashion

ferrets - most entertaining since they move like drunk toddlers and give zero thoughts to the consequences of their movements until they comically fall backwards down a flight of stairs, drawback is the smell-you can bathe them daily and still never quite get rid of it

I grew up with a dog all of the time, but haven't had one since. I'll likely get another dog some day, but I want to have a bigger yard and have more time to spend with him first.

My wife and I were recently discussing a couple that had an affair. She described it this way, "I don't understand it. I don't have any interest in any other men and, to be honest, I don't really have all that much interest in you."

I like your wife, maybe we are the same person?

Been a wild morning. Neighbor calls to see if boys would take her little girls to school, she is feeling awful. They have already left so I tell her to send them over and I will take them.

After dropping them off, check on neighbor to see if she needs anything or wants me to watch the little boy. She clearly needs the emergency room. Appendix burst. At least this time it was easy to track down her husband.

Liam and I are watching something called Bubble Guppies.

There's this old adage about "if it weren't for bad luck, they wouldn't have any luck at all" that comes to mind whenever you mention this family. I hope everything goes okay for her. Her kids need her.

Yep. I know someone who has fertility issues based on scarring from burst appendix. Don’t know if neighbor wants any more kids but not going to mention this to her any time.

Her mom is on the way so hoping I don’t have all the kids when school gets out.

Liam has eaten two pieces of cinnamon toast and wants pizza for lunch lol. Maybe we’ll go out for pizza, give me a break from Paw Patrol and Batman Duplo set.

Ugh. When you start remembering your dream from last night, and it makes you sad. My grandma showed up in it...caught a glimpse of her, heard her voice, but never hugged her or talked to her.

Then there was the part where my dad said he needed to talk to my sister about her getting his leftover art supplies in 4 to 5 years. (I interpreted that as meaning when he died...eep) But...listen...NONE of my immediate family is artistic when it comes to visual art. Musically inclined? Yes. So hearing that in my dream from my math oriented dad was weird.

Ames People FB page is horrible. Yet predictable. Always someone asking, "What was that loud noise outside?" "Police just went by, anyone know what is going on?" "What are the roads like?" and "To the person who (then describe some random situation while trying to publically shame someone)"

Lol it’s what happens when you are about the only one home in the daytime. Appendix burst neighbor did recently corral other neighbor’s cat, who decided to wander out of the house through the dryer vent.

Seriously though, lucky you stopped over. Burst appendix is bad juju. This gal needs a wife to tell her when she needs to go to the doc or the ER.

The girls were worried. Said mommy was laying on bathroom floor crying. I have sort of been beating myself up over not calling 911 while I was in the car with them, but fairly sure in this small town it is faster to take them yourself. Plus wasn’t sure exactly what was up. Will probably second guess it for the end of time.

Should probably head out and shovel and smack snow off the pines, they be lookin' like weeping pines again. I think the city forgot to plow the alley again. Only a handful of alleys in my city and this little deadend one gets forgotten a lot. Probably be packed down ice/snow on it till late April. It builds up like a glacier over the winter.

Not like Carvers neighborhood. Pretty sure if I got stuck in the alley the neighbors would only help me out if I was blocking them from leaving or getting in.
