yes, underhand and horizontal. And she'd use a closed fist, too. Didn't have a lot of power in it though so it wasn't too bad to handle.

Your last post comes up as blank. I can see the gif if I hit reply. Is anyone else seeing a lot of blank replies in the forums today?
I've seen about 4 of them that are blank when I view them, but if I "reply" to their post I can see it.
Yeaaaah - No. SIL doesn't like fish or seafood of any kind so she makes sure to make a face, a negative comment or "ewwww" whenever they are mentioned so her kids won't even try any of it. It was a real pain when we got invited to a fish fry by an uncle (he caught all of the fish in various locales) but we were camping with the in-laws so it was obviously a no-go. We were even at his place and we had to walk away!!!!Just seems crazy to go to the fair and not eat.One of my traditional food is a cup of fruit/watermelon. Helps balance out all the other stuff. My kids loved helping us pick apart a giant turkey leg, but we didn't get one this year. We rarely get pork chops at the fair, but 3 of the 4 kids like pork.
I am a self-professed picky eater but I make my kids eat what ever we are eating. We have some type of meat at every meal, or fish/shrimp. There is a lot they don't "like" but they still need to try it.

And after I post this I can see your last post. It must be magic
And now again it's gone. I see they made some updates to the board. Must be some glitches

One of our daughters has trained her daughters to be that way...super picky. When they come to visit they always stop at McD's on the way because they don't want to fight with the girls to make them eat what we cook. Last time they were here, the girls wanted a snack, so I said how about celery & peanut butter, and their mother told me no, they only eat celery with ranch dressing. Well, I don't HAVE ranch dressing. I had some mild onion dip, so I put a blop of that in a little cup and put the celery around it & told our daughter to NOT tell them what it was (or was not, in this case). They scarfed it up & asked for more.A good friend of ours is like this with mushrooms, which drives me nuts because we use mushrooms in a fair amount of pastas and soups. Her kids are uber-picky when they are over because of their mom's distaste. It's definitely a learned behavior.
However, we have fed their kids all sorts of things when their parents aren't there and they generally love it. My daughter is really good about trying something new and even applying a little friendly peer pressure to her friends. "I didn't think I'd like it, but I still tried it".
There are very very few foods I won't eat and even less that I won't try at least once (ex. certain raw foods or overly exotic foods that look a little tapeworm-y) Even foods I don't like, I'll give them a couple tries before dismissing them. I've tried curry in various dishes about 8 times and still can't find the right combination for me. I'm convinced there is something out there that I'll like, though.
Oops. Not so shiny!Quoted so I can see what you posted.
Not being able to see posts is getting annoying to me
Rain is beautiful. People already chopping their corn but it might save the beans.
Do feel bad for friends moving their freshmen into Iowa State. No rain for two months, rain on moving day. Our returning student delayed moving until Friday to work more, but he's pretty happy the pool finally closed for rain.

There were some things I didn't like as a kid but I learned to like them. I'm still not a huge fan of cooked broccoli, but I eat it and don't complain and I certainly don't loathe it like I used to. I make it a point to try just about anything and am usually rewarded for it.A good friend of ours is like this with mushrooms, which drives me nuts because we use mushrooms in a fair amount of pastas and soups.
