....and how does one get scammed $75 at a gas station?

I'm still hoping to get this answer.

Was there a shell game or some three-card monte being played outside?

Was the decimal point in the wrong place and BDK put 5 gallons in his car at $23.19 gallon?

Was the clerk watching him take repeated sips from his icee and then refilling it, eventually charging him for it all?

Was he mugged by a troop of Brownie Scouts?

Did he pay someone to buy him beer that stiffed him?

Did the clerk not let him return the 9 boxes of Magnum condoms that he bought in front of the group of hot girls five minutes after they left?

Did he buy a $75 bag of oregano?

Yes. Yes. But most folks don't consider the character who said that--he wasn't a character Shakespeare wanted to be taken seriously.
Yes, it is actually a comment that if you want to create anarchy you get rid of one of the agents of law and order. But even a lot of lawyers get worked up when you say it.

thanks for the birthday wishes :) I don't think I liked them all and spotty interwebs means it'll take ages to go back pages. Seems like this trip has gone so fast yet long at the same time. Long day tomorrow...........literally. Gain 7 hours back and I'm in a middle seat. See if a couple movies work as well as they did my first time around. Need to stay awake............which means since I only got about 4 hours last night and down to 6 now.......I should go to bed!

Saw the Eiffel Tower earlier today then again at night all lit up. Very pretty. Then we got to our room and I guess being on the top floor (only 6 floors) of an old hotel with no AC (it's 80 here today) and elevator going only to 5th has its perks. We have a teeny balcony from which we can see the Tower and when we looked just after midnight here, it was all sparkling. Was so pretty. Nice way to end :)

oh yeah, by the tower there was a guy selling wine and caviar from a paper bag and DH is like that isn't sketch at all. The guy asked me if I wanted wine and I said "no habla ingles". Earlier in the day a similar type was at Notre Dame and asked me if I spoke English and I said "no". Realized afterward that meant I understood what she was saying, derp. Was telling DH and he's like she talked to you? Apparently she had come over to him earlier and pointed at her page which was about donations for the dumb and mute.
Hey cool, I guess I witnessed a miracle at Notre Dame!
