Waiting for people to freak out on me in rhe trump CF thread for my GOAT comment. Safe to say slow morning at work and looking for entertainment

I feel like enough know you well enough that it may not get as many fish as you wish.

The "with few exceptions" meme though, I'd like to see more of that.

Dreading going to the visitation of the nephew of a coworker in a few minutes. Anybody who is in the Twin Cities heard about the U of M kid who disappeared into the Mississippi and was found over a week later. He was about to graduate this spring. He is the only nephew of my coworker who worked directly for me for about 10 years. I will go and be there for her but any words of mine will be woefully inadequate.

I feel terrible for her and her family.

Sorry to bring you all down...

I'm so sorry. Funerals for young people are especially emotional. My thoughts and prayers are with your coworker and her family.

Seeing people pass at an early age is never easy on anyone.

You're not expected to feel their pain, but being there for support is important. Good luck, my friend.

Velo, sometimes it's just the being there. That's really sad.
My sentiments as well. I think the thing that affects all of us is the fact that you know you can't do anything to help the situation which makes you feel useless.
Show up, offer you condolences and give them a shoulder to cry on if needed.

I found out right before the visitation that he wasn't just graduating this spring, he was supposed to graduate today. That's got to be tough for his mother.

Velo> Sorry to hear about your coworker's family. It sucks that it coincides with what should have been a major milestone in their life.

My parents are cleaning out their basement and attic. (Thank the good Lord above) As the oldest, I was dreading having to go through all their stuff when they pass away. But it's lead to my mother texting me pics of all the things she's finding in boxes that haven't been opened in 30 years since they moved into this house. (My husband: "See? What we have downstairs isn't even half as bad as them!")

My dog eats grass sometimes. Tonight she was taking a dump and the last piece wasn't coming out. I looked and there was grass sticking out of her ass, so I had to put on plastic gloves and pull it out.
