The only thing surprising in the story to me was the reaction and lack of understanding and the dad's shorts. Sounds like the parents were idiots. I can't think of any airline folks flying employee, family or buddy passes that would even think of wearing shorts or leggings.

I would go thru the interview process with all of them and then try to hold off on the decision making until the last one. If one of the early one gives you an offer and you can hold them off, that would be the best thing. If you have an offer in hand when you go to the one you want, you could ask them to bump up their time table if they would like you to work for them. Then you could politely turn down the first offer. Some industries are a pretty small world, but most people don't hold a grudge if you treat them fair. Good luck on getting your internship this summer.
Not sure if someone responded to this (I'm still catching up), but a pivot table and display values by count should do the trick.
Cowgirl - if you do a lot of Excel, there are only a handful of things to master which will give you most of what you need. Pivot Tables, vlookups, and IF statements. That will help you get about 95% of every type of data extraction you'll ever need.
My parents left Sunday for a trip to South Africa. They had a connection in Amsterdam that was going to be tight, and there is only one flight out a day to Cape Town so if they missed it they would have to wait a day. They were prepared--they brought along some Euros in case they stayed a day, and the travel agent set them both up with wheelchairs at the airport to get them to their gate faster. I haven't heard anything from them since they were sitting at the MPLS airport. I did see my mom "like" something on FB so I know they are alive and somewhere with wifi.

I wonder if it was a buddy pass given to friends that either didn't get the message or didn't believe that it was true.
Daughter received college mail from Wooster yesterday. The letter also referenced Princeton so they must have some sort of shared program I assume.

You accept one of the first two and, if the third happens, back out of the initial one. If the 3rd one is the one you really want, you should try for it. If you're rejected, you still have the first one you accepted. Chances are, this sort of thing has happened at these places before.
As long as you explain the situation, the first place shouldn't be too upset. Generally, it is best to be honest about these things. That being said, I wouldn't tell the other places about the 3rd interview unless they ask about it (which they shouldn't).
Yeah, they're probably talking about about our senior thesis. Princeton started it and then when one of our presidents came from Princeton he brought the idea to Wooster. and I loved Wooster; I think it's a great place to spend 4 years, I'd choose it again in a heartbeat, and have pretty much nothing but wonderful things to say about it. If you have a chance, you guys should definitely visit, if for no other reason than it has a really pretty campus.
My neck is already sweating just looking at that. I imagine it would be soaked if I wore that for several hours.
As in basketball type shorts or dress shorts? I can see them allowing dress shorts with a collared shirt but not running/basketball shorts which usually is accompanied by a tshirt.
She seems to be pretty locked in on doing undergrad at the same school as medical school so I don't think she'd consider it. That being said, I would enjoy the visit. One of my best friends from high school lives less than an hour away.
On a tangential note, I have an upcoming work trip to Columbus. Anything you know of that is interesting to see or do, particularly in the downtown area?
My niece is finishing here last year of undergrad and just took the test for admittance for medical school. She was advised to not attend the same schools for undergrad and med. said she was told it's harder to get in the med schools that way.
I'm trying to open her eyes to additional choices but she really seems to want to stay at one school.
I honestly didn't ûnderstand why my niece chose this route. She is unbelievably smart and could have done very well in some other field with a masters. She got her undergrad in three years even with medical issues where she had a failing kidney and had half of one removed. She basically is at the point of no return now. She has found some roadblocks in her waythat have nothing to do with academics and she is getting frustrated with them. I anticipated these hurdles but wanted to be supportive and never said anything when she looked at this field. AIB east keeps being mentioned by her, I keep cringing when she says that. Being a minny girl, her mom is telling her to change her residence to our house to save money.
Ah, dude, long pants! And don't wear synthetic blends either. If the plane catches on fire the synthetics burn and melt to your skin. Stay with cotton and wool.

I just carry a small cloth covered inflatable u-shaped pillow in my travel man bag. Doesn't take up any space at all.
