I feel like we need clarification on the square area or something. That seems like an insane amount for 1 2/3 square yards or anything close to that.

I went in and rounded them up just after posting that.

Actually was closer to 2 cubic yards, 9'x20', 3.5 inches thick.

This is why I was never any good at math. It all adds up right but I am severely over estimating how big a cubic yard is. None the less you earned a beer or six.

This was only half. Doing the other half, next weekend. It's at my cousin's house where we are having my sister's grad party next month, so I have to help/work for free. We all went out for dinner, I had a few.

Had our family b-day party for my dad. Spent part of the afternoon helping my 4 year old niece ride her training wheel bicycle. At one point her older sister was helping but they had an argument and she stormed off. My niece said to me your not leaving me are you which i replied no and she called me the best uncle ever. Not sure if I deserve that title but it sure made me feel good.

Has any of you watched the movie Swiss Army Man with Daniel Radcliffe? A strange but interesting film. I really enjoyed it, you might want to give it a shot:

Well the trailer leaves me thoroughly confused, but intrigued.

You can now assume the title of greatest uncle. I am abdicating since my nieces are all grown up and don't need an uncle anymore. Go at it! Be aware that WDSM may also put in a claim.

Note: I will still be known as greatest uncle emeritus.

The tuition costs rising thread is kind of odd. It is a mishmash of college costs and health care costs all in the same thread.

Facebook post from my cousin by marriage, talking about his four kids.

The kids have not been interested in playing "pig" or "horse" on the basketball hoop. But last night they all stuck with a game of "narwhal" to the bitter end.

And he lives in south Minneapolis, too. But, unfortunately, he's a Schmuckeye. ;)

My dad and my best friend mowed for us today since I can't for at least another week or two. I could get used to standing there while they do it.

Okay...I'm a big softy. I watched Rogue One today.
When I saw Carrie Fisher at the end
I got a lump in my throat & tears came to my eyes. Later, when PapaLew got home, I got choked up all over again. Watching the next installment is going to be rugged. :(
