My MIL has a Galaxy S7. You know the one that has been advertised having champaign poured on it and dunked in a fish tank. I call BS because it is water resistant and not proof. My MIL seems to think otherwise and mentioned yesterday "Oh I could bring my phone in the pool with me". Go right on ahead and let me know how that goes for you.

I think it can only be submerged a certain distance for a certain amount of time before it starts to incur damage. Bullet proof glass will break if hit with enough bullets.

Exactly. I told her it can probably get splashed and what not but submerging it is probably not a good idea.

My S5 is advertised as "waterproof". One drop of water in the headphone jack or charging port and you'll need to take a hair dryer to it for about half an hour.

I've read the book. Heck, I think I HAVE the book. I'd love to find it again and read it, but I think it's been in a box since three moves ago.

Just to double check, the book was written in 2006...before smartphones and social media and the ilk.

Speaking of "horror" movies, I have World War Z on the TV right now. I've mostly had it on mute while surfing the internet on my phone. I glance up, and think to myself "Holy crap, is that...? *rewind* Yep! It's The Doctor!"

Rev, I think you're owed a Happy Birthday if I read your post right. Do they live broadcast over the internet the relay Iowa thing, how much of this is Erik running?

Busy day at work, got back had supper, waited till 8:30 then got a 1/2 hour bike ride in. Hopefully temps will start to moderate This high 90's in June is getting old.
