Clinton. No we usually don't get any highlights on the news. NBC 15 usually just covers the big 8. However, we do play at McFarland next week, so there's a chance.

Its not a huge loss. Finding out it wasn't thrown away was a small high five to self for the day. Then to have wife immediate requisition it for her purposes was the kicker here. The struggle of being married is for real...

It's held in the chapel on the grounds, with a stage that's around three feet off the ground. A group of seniors, including the head drum major, do some type of skit. The drum major takes a running leap off the stage, lands........and breaks his femur. Spiral, compound fracture. (So I was told) This injury happened early to mid-August. He was finally able to get up on the drum major stand for the final "regular season" field show, the end of October.

That would suck.

Me, too. When the town cop came in to discuss the case with me and first told me about it, I had to confirm he meant what I thought I was hearing.

First Ave. is my twin cities option. Last time I was at 1st. Ave. was many moons ago.

First avenue is so much better than sokol. At least at first ave, you can park in the target center garage. Parking around sokol isn't great.

2) He may have been holding himself out as being married to his daughter, with whom he was raising their child. Iowa does recognize common law marriage, but
Iowa's common law made incestuous marriages void.


As for jolly olde England common law, I don't think it would be recognized either.

Damn he needs to meet that lady in Oklahoma that has married both her son and her daughter. It was quite an odd story it is a thread either on Landthieves or ShaggyTexas.

Went to local FB game tonight to see how the local marching band is doing. Looked good except for one flag girl who kept dropping her flag. FB team lost big. Nieces are in band so I try to catch a game every season.

I walk, drive and/or bike by it practically every day but have never gone in.

I haven't been there in about 20 years. I think the last show I saw was El-Ves, the Mexican Elvis.

I will get slammed again for this...but the entire way through AGT this past season, I was unable to see what everyone else saw in Grace Vanderwall. She just performed on the Tonight Show, and Jimmy was gushing all over her. I just DON'T get it. I wouldn't sit through a 10 minute free performance form her in Vegas, and I sure as hell wouldn't pay to watch her for an hour.

We were just talking about whether or not it was the youth & cuteness factor that won it for her...but Lew said that if that had been the case the brother & sister magician act would have won. I tend to agree.

KC, I was hoping for that magician kid from Kansas(?), but would have settled for the Steelers center.
