I'm always torn as to if I should respond to people who I've put on ignore, especially if they're talking about me. On the one hand, that's engaging them and if I think so little of them and their opinions that I'd put them on ignore, I shouldn't respond. On the other hand, it might be nice to clear up misconceptions

post here what you were gonna post then or pm

Just look up his first post/thread and then look how long after that it took for him to actually pay to advertise on CF. And bring your own jump to conclusions mat.

Yeah but which one? Farmington, Apple Valley, Lakeville? I need a target rich environment.

Is the Farmington Target newer? I would always hit up Apple Valley (closest), Lakeville (opened while we lived there) and Burnsville. Then we moved to Carroll, IA where the closest one was 75mi away. :(

Is it the one where your ancestors say "hi"? Made me laugh...I have much the same genetics (with a lot of Scot thrown in).

If anyone needs a realtor in Ames, we have a great one too. It is actually actually husband/wife team but we worked with the wife. They also became our friends after moving here (ended up in the same neighborhood). They recently moved agencies and they love the switch. They work in the Ankeny/DSM area as well. They are big in giving back to the community.

That's why I didn't put in the name. :) I figure if people want to know who we're talking about, they can PM us, right?

I couldn't find where it shows how long he's been advertising, but I just learned e11en posted more than 11,000 times in just over a year and a half. Holy crap that's a lot.

Haha I'm glad you liked that. Though it still rates below CG's epic comment to a mod. And it's that thread, but to the question about what religion I am.

Oh - I missed that question. I've stopped commenting in there but I'm still reading it. When it gets down to the regular cadre misquoting me & twisting my words it's a waste of time defending myself. I DO like the way you handle yourself around opposition...should serve you well in your chosen profession...

Keep them on ignore and engage a proxy to respond and defend you.
I'd ask someone feisty like CG! KC, also, she don't suffer no fools.

Also Lives or Boxster could mock them with gifs.

I have an idea that I'd like to take the lead on but I thought I would run it by the Random Thoughts brain trust before I post a whole new thread.

Do you think people would be interested in a Cyclone Fanatic Meet-Up? I was semi-inspired by The Chive and their meet-ups. I know some of you CFers meet up at football tailgates and other ISU events like the ones in Ankeny but since I live in western Iowa and no longer have football season tickets I am never able to make it down and meet some of you.

I was thinking following the men's basketball game in Sioux Falls (tips off at 4, over by ~7) it would be fun to find a bar or restaurant that has a large guest room and whoever is a CFer that attended the game could meet up and bring their plus ones and we could talk CF, the Colorado game, have a few drinks and put some faces to the usernames.

What do you think?

Horrible idea.

Sounds good. I can wear my school crossing sash to indicate I am a mod. :jimlad:

Hmmm...intrigued.

Right now...no tickets to the game. We want to go, but didn't order fast enough. Some of us have met up at basketball games though - nothing formal, just locating each other in our seats.

Met Rulzzz, SaraV, CyMe & Oldman, Rev & CycloneErik that way.

Side note - Sara is DEFINITELY as tall as she says, and I think she'll vouch for the fact that I am DEFINITELY as short as I say I am. ;)

Note to self: Avoid Dandy at the Colorado game.
