This happened to me as soon as I left my last job as well. All of my staff would just try to throw me under the bus for everything since I wasn't there to defend myself.

No worries, man. Those people can go **** themselves, respectfully.
People can say what they want, its the hypocrisy of it all the irks me.

It's stupid when places act like they own you or something when you leave. Because you know they'd lay you off if they needed to and not lose much sleep over it. It's a business and you have to do what is best for you. You found something better for you and closer to home. Decent people wouldn't begrudge that.
I did everything that was ever asked of me with a smile. I don't know what more anyone could ask.

I guess I've been fairly lucky. My college boss tried to hire me, but was very well below the starting salary for my profession...it was a kind of awkward convo because he was, honestly, offering me huge money for what he was hiring me for so he thought I should be impressed...but it worked out...essentially I was able to express to him that I was very grateful that he wanted to hire me, and thankful for the opportunity, but I couldn't accept it, and I also understood his business, he really couldn't offer more than that, and that while I would love the job, I also had to pay off student loans, so I had to go make bank.

Other than that, the only stupid convo I had was I bartended for a while after being laid off. When I got hired, the owner asked me about why a 4 year degree guy would want to bartend. I told him that I would be honest with him and that I wasn't sure how long it would last, but I wouldn't rule anything out, and in the meantime, I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn the business and learn from him, and I'd give him hard work for my wages. I probably flattered him a little too much, as he was all butthurt when I got a better job in a few months, and said about the same loyalty and ****.

Besides that, it's been 'hate to see you go, but I understand, keep in touch...need anything, holler' stuff.

15 page paper completed and submitted. Glad that's over.

Group report completed, to be turned in at our presentation in the morning. Not sweating that one very much, but it will be nice when that's over.

There's a homework due tomorrow that I have half-completed, I'll try to finish it between classes in the morning before it's due. If not, no big deal. I've got a pretty solid A in that class.

The landlord is showing the house tomorrow afternoon, so I'll have to do some housecleaning. I really wish this whole process could have waited another week. This is my busiest week of the semester by far and I'd rather not have to worry about housecleaning right now. I'm not going to go crazy with it or anything, but the house is kind of a mess and I need to at least pick things up, load the dishwasher, and vacuum the dog hair off of the floor.

Then it's balls-to-the-wall to get this other research paper/presentation put together and completed before class Friday morning...

Oh and one last homework that I'll complete and turn in late on Friday (not a big deal).

Oh and then it's study time over the weekend. Take home final is available now and due next Wednesday for my online class, and my other two finals are back to back next Wednesday morning as well.

I think that's all that's left.

All of the college paper writing talk makes me think spending so much time on CF has messed with my own business writing. Was trying to rewrite a scope of work yesterday and keep wanting to put in animated gifs and memes.

I bet you could make it a lot more entertaining that way.

Anyone good with photoshop? I think I need a new avatar, maybe a cool looking I-State logo within the outline of the state of Texas or something.

So I'm getting evicted.

Ok, not actually evicted, but my landlord is selling the building.

It's actually probably a good thing. I should have moved long ago, but I'm too lazy. I've already found a potential place on the North Shore, where I've always wanted to live, for almost 500 dollars less and twice the size.

Hopefully the person responds to me. I'll go sign the paperwork tomorrow.
