So 1-0 in the Cy-Hawk race!

We beat this school.

I love the Texas Shaggy Bevo MS Paint threads but they get mega obscene.

Volleyball won today.

My little girls were all decked out in Cyclone gear today. Everywhere we went we were asked if they were going to the game tomorrow. Yeah, don't want to bring a 2yr old and 4yr old to that environment.

Yeah the CR Kernels are showing the game on their scoreboard. Watching with a bunch of tavern hawks is not my ideal scenario.

Turned on the 90's channel on DirecTV while picking up the apartment and prepping for tomorrow. The wide range of the quality of music is quite astounding. I caught myself going from nodding along and singing to cringing (the "I used to like this?!" type of cringe) to "What song is this?" Like right now...En Vogue "Give It Up, Turn Me Loose". Huh?

So my rant about family.

One sister in-law (the one who just had the hipster wedding) and her new husband were going to geat an Australian Shepherd from a breeder. They backed out of that and got something else from the shelter. Well they took that dog back because it was too hyper for their apartment and are now getting two Aussies from a breeder.

Oh and they essentially had a horse gifted to them.

My other sister in-law asked to borrow $80 from us today. We obliged because we know she will pay us back and we obviously have the money. I had my wife ask why she needed it. She apparently wrote a check or something that was supposed to be cashed a few weeks ago. Well it was just cashed so her account was overdrawn.

I about did a face palm.

Sigh......I'm not even going to get onto my soapbox.....

I will say, though, if they think Aussies aren't going to be any more hyper in an apartment, they're idiots. You have to really run Aussies every day.

It happens with kids too.

And yes...Aussies are a WORKING breed...they're predisposed to keep busy herding sheep. Sis in law had better start expecting a lot of getting pushed around by the dogs...

Yeah. It is a tough line. I have basically cut my sister out of my life because she is up tight and take offense to everything. I am still cordial when we are around each other but past that I don't talk to her.

I wouldn't mind if we had the same relationship with my in-laws.

so one shelter dog in an apartment was too hyper, but two goddamn Aussies in an apartment will somehow be BETTER?!

Most of our friend circle here has dogs/pets and keep asking us when we are going to get one. Well for a long time we were in an apt and unless I'm getting a cat or lazy *** dog, I'm not getting a pet that I leave inside alone all day. And certainly not a high energy, social pet.

And seriously, they don't have $80 but they think they can afford two dogs? Ugh.

One suggestion...
If you do get a pet when both of you work all day, sometimes it's better to get two. A sibling pair, for example, and fixed. They will be companions for each other. Dogs in particular need a buddy.

Guess who's back, baby dolls!!!

This place was just a mess without me. I feel bad for CG's employer because she clearly showed what kind of leadership she provided in my absence with her lack of control of this place.

I'm kind of like Seneca Wallace in that I'm the flashy quarterback that puts this rag tag team full of misfits on my back and carries you all, where CG is more like Hiawatha Rutland, because she's good when she's not the central focus of the team, but her rap game is still strong at least.

Well I'm glad your back in time to give Rainbow Warrior FB updates. Welcome back Pants.

This intro sort of reminded my of Jack Nicholson in The Shining "Here's Johnny!"

yeah I could see getting two for company - one friend is doing that right now with their Husky. We have no plans for pets any time soon though. At least not until kids are old enough to play with them. Growing up with our farm dogs always having people around/another dog buddy/ability to run around outside doesn't have me jumping to get a dog to leave home alone all day. Especially since I like more energetic/friendly dogs.DH isn't a big dog person though so it may not ever happen.
