Use Chizik coins to pay for the dollar dance.

If this is an ISU Alum/Hawk fan marrying an ISU dropout/Hawk fan and they scheduled a wedding the day of the ISU/Iowa game, chizik coins may even be too valuable for the dance payment.

Although, let's be honest, they probably scheduled the wedding without any idea that it was the ISU/Iowa game. I think most become aware of the schedule around the 3rd week of August.

Along those lines, Mrs. 00 was talking to her sister on the phone on Sunday (her and her husband are both UNI grads, her doosher husband becomes a HUGE UNI fan during the playoffs). Apparently SIL asked what we did over the weekend, and Mrs. said that on Saturday we did X, then watched the ISU game...pause...We played UNI! Same thing happened when we were in HI for Mrs. 00's other sister's wedding the weekend of the last UNI/ISU game. I was fretting over trying to get good internet on my phone and listen to the cyclones.tv audio feed, and doosher BIL asks who ISU was playing. I started LOLing and said that they were playing UNI. He immediately starts talking ****, and I stopped him and said "No, I am not taking **** talking from you if you didn't even know they were playing." He started again, and I said "No, I am serious, I will not take **** from you if you didn't even know UNI was playing today much less who they were playing. If you keep it up, you leave my room." (I was using the timeshare rental wi-fi to listen to the game on headphones, we were all hanging out in our room)

We have to go to a wedding this Saturday. The wedding is for two Iowa fans (One is a ISU alum and the other a ISU drop out).

My question is: would it be acceptable to wear a ISU tie for the wedding?

Not just yes, but hell yes!

Let me see if I have the facts straight.

- ISU alum and ISU drop out and they are both Hawkeye fans.
- They schedule a wedding on the day of the Iowa State/Iowa game.
- They invited you so I assume you consider them friends and not some random douchecanoes.
- They schedule a wedding on the day of the Iowa State/Iowa game.

It's on. Cardinal tux, gold tie. Just own it.
Use Chizik coins to pay for the dollar dance.
Have the ISU fight song as your ring tone and have your wife call you every five minutes during the ceremony.
And please, make as many Lafester Rhodes and Vodka Sam comments as possible. If the couple is anything like me they will never get tired of those comments. Seriously, I will never get tired of those comments.

Maybe a toast incorporating this stuff:

Congratulations on tying the Jake Knott.
As you travel down this Lafester Rhodes of life together, remember to be honest and open with each other. Don't build too many Seneca WALLaces.
...Always remember how you RosenFELL in love with each other.
...And when times get tough, remember that you aren't alone... you have each other... unlike Mike Gesell at the free throw line at the end of a game.
Once again, congratulations. I will now commence to get my blood alcohol level up to a .341. Epic.

End with: "I thought I saw Lois Feldman before? I'll meet you in the bathroom in 10 minutes."

So I went to a red mass tonight, which is a mass for those in the legal profession, which was cool. But I feel like the bishop really missed an opportunity in his homily to talk about social justice. You are talking to people who have received training or are receiving training that can be incredibly useful to the poor, especially since access to the legal system is largely based on income. You have us all there, talk about how important it is to do pro bono work. Instead he just completely skipped that.

Good point, especially with the pope's great concern for the poor.

(mis-spelling joke...caught myself accidentally typing poop instead of poor...that would have been an interesting read...:embarrassed:)

but we all would have laughed. Except for some of the ladies because they don't appreciate our "sophisticated" type of humor.

See, that's the classic "Will Rev thumbs-up it?" post...part of me thinks she would read the part about the pope, and want to, but then see the poop joke and hesitate.

 You're awesome, BTW, Rev...not poking fun.
