anyone remember how last winter Nissan gave us a surprise expense when the steering column locked up and we had to pay $$$ to fix it? And they had never done a recall despite it apparently being a widespread issue?

Got a notice yesterday that they are fixing it. I can submit for a reimbursement. Why yes, I'd like my $1200 back please.

I watched a really corny movie last night.

So I try to fill out their online forms and they say my VIN is not part of the recall. But I have the letter and when I put my VIN into their general website, it brings up the recall. So I call the service number. That recall is not one of the options to select to ask questions on. Call their general number, give VIN. Yes, it's affected. But a Nissan dealer needs to look at the work. But a dealer did the work and I have the receipt, nothing in the recall letter or FAQ online says that people who already had this issue fixed need to take it back in. Only that they need to provide proof and payment of the work. Nope, need to take it in.

Welp. DH is in FL next week so I guess we'll do it then and I can finally drive the new vehicle. Just confusing because they don't seem to have correct info across web/mail/phone.

Packing now.

Also why I won't eat at the rainforest cafe. Was there at the animal kingdom at Disney worlds. So stinking dark you can't see anything. Usually I order last and do it quick because I help the kids decide and they can't decide until the last minute. So I ordered the mushroom burger. No hamburger, just one large stinking mushroom. It was awful. A burger has meat, not a mushroom.

We made the mistake of eating at a Rainforest Cafe once. Never again. Significantly worse is the T-Rex restaurant at the Legends area here in KC. If any of you ponder going to that place when you come into town, save yourself the stomach ache and eat ANYWHERE else.

Your mushroom burger reminded me of one of my favorite memories. While out to eat with my parents and sister, my dad ordered a veggie burger. My sister and I knew that he was assuming it was a burger with lettuce, tomato and onions like at the drive-in back home, but we wanted to watch his face while he ate it. It was the most "what the **** is this" face that I have ever seen my dad make in his life. Completely worth it.

I have been to both and never had a bad experience for what it is (themed tourist trap restaurant).

I'm glad you had luck. My daughter, who likes dinosaurs, still insists it's the worst place she's ever been to.

On the flip side, we have eaten at the very touristy themed restaurants Bubba Gump and Margaritaville and had good experiences at both. I've heard many people hated both of them.

It may also help that I didn't pay...

Just give the man a baby! ;)

it's going to be bad when meow friend has hers. Their niece is this adorable blondie with perfect curls. They have a baby like that and DH will be making puppy eyes and trying to melt my heart of stone.

I thought this was a good a pretty good mindless watch.....

I laughed and I stayed up to watch it. I'd even be willing to watch it again, but it's really corny.

Maybe because I've seen a lot of similar movies before it. So it seemed more like mocking an agent movie.
