A guy down the row from me is also a Cyclone fan. Someone put up an NDSU flag on the out of his cube. That's just plain mean.

got an invite to the neighborhood party. Que social anxiety, ha. But it says there will be volleyball. That would be sweet.

telling DH I want us to do the first mowing, overseed/fertilize, possible weeding, and install window blinds all this weekend. Plus we have a birthday party back home Sunday and a draft thing Monday night. But we have Friday off as well. Think he's a bit like I want my lazy weekend. We did that the past two weeks though. Time to get stuff done!

Though I need to check the weather......don't want to wash away all the seed again.

I trust myself that if I say something in German it'll be correct, but I'll usually end checking google translate to see if I'm right. Most of time I am.

Same here.* Usually it's the sentence order and the masc/fem/neut word endings that trip me up. My vocabulary is weak. I can read it, I can understand it when spoken slowly, but colloquialism kills me over there. :)

I can make myself understood, but Sascha (our German son) laughs at me when I mix up sentence structure. He says I talk like a kindergartener, but he gets the general meanings. Not very confidence inspiring!

*regarding checking Google translate. :)

Damn, the weather here in MN this year has absolutely sucked. Today is no exception.

I miss sunshine.

I guess I'll be bringing some up from KC. I was looking at the weather up there for this weekend earlier today. I wasn't really looking forward to 90 degrees in a suit and tie.

Get through today and I have a half day tomorrow then a four day weekend.

And he sad thing is, by "get through" I mean don't die of boredom from nothing to do.

Even with three hurricanes simultaneously in the Pacific, we're sti not struggling for suns shine here. Sorry bruh.

Now excuse me as I go pay my ridiculously high rent that would get me a small mansion in the Midwest.

Interesting things 00clone saw on the way to work today, 9/2 edition:

A BMW i3. Really surprised that a) I saw one of these, and b), I instantly recognized what it was and it's model name. It's BMW's small electric car:

On the other end of the spectrum, a woman with an "I <heart> my redneck husband tank top". Yes, this was in Wal-Mart if you were curious. Stopped for some wrapping paper on my way in.

Oh, and if this bird flu thing keeps up, they're gonna have to start stocking the eggs under key like razor blades. $13 for a dozen vegetarian fed eggs at wal-mart. We by normal eggs, but I saw that large sticker and WHOA! Normal were $4/dz, but I think costco had brown eggs for 6/ 2dz.

Razor blades are locked up?

I wondered why normal eggs were like $4/doz when I went shopping yesterday. I found a dozen Texas raised eggs for $3.50. Crazy.
