Just make small talk, are they ex Google people or laid off from somewhere else? The Google thing could be kind of touchy because your just starting there. Somewhere else not so bad if the subject gets brought up just say encouraging things like "Good luck in the job hunt. If I hear of something I'll let you know."

- Blame Obama or Yankees or illegal immigrants.
- Express your concern that this is just a precursor to the Army declaring martial law.
- Offer to help them pay their militia dues until they get back on their feet.
- Offer to trade them baked goods for their AR ammo.
I don't think these are *real* Texans, boxster, just carpetbagger transplants that moved there for Microsoft.
CG, other than blaming George Strait for autism, I'm pretty disappointed in your post. I did find that one part humorous, though.
think we're up to six weddings on the year now. Just got asked for my address for one I wasn't sure if I'd be invited to because the venue is tight on space and one of the parents has a ton of siblings.
Two back to back in June, now looking like two back to back in October with the weekend before DH's parents wanting us to attend a family thing. Since the 2nd wedding is a family wedding.......maybe we'll call that good.
Ugh, that first week is Expo, too. Plus the likely time stuff changes over at work for me.

The only thing I miss about Texas is the non-native Texans in Dallas and the meerkats. And Austin, maybe.
