woof, could not fall asleep for a solid 30-40 minutes last night. Dragging this morning.

Yep. I fell asleep for like 45 minutes at like 1. Woke up for the last 3 laps and then couldn't fall asleep til like 245 and was up numerous times during the night.

I was going to be hyped up either way - ****** if Jr. lost after dominating or thrilled that he won. After the last few laps holding off Johnson and Hamlin, my nerves were shot and then all that happened. I swear that GWC was the longest two laps ever. Just laid in bed replaying that crash. Can't believe that kid is ok. All the drivers sounded pretty shaken up in their interviews.

so I'm trying to use some of the health stuff on this Samsung health app thing. It has a sleep tracker that you can manually enter sleep times if you don't have the accessory thing. Last night is the first night I'm entering. Haha, it's probably going to say I didn't get enough sleep.

Yeah it will shame you. I got mine and then starred working at the quarry. After about 5 hours of bouncing around in the Tonka truck it notified me I had reached my steps goal for the day. If only it was that easy.

I don't usually carry my phone with me walking at the office, home, or working out (non-running) so I'll probably get like 500 steps a day and it's going to yell at me.

Anyone think the ESPN Body Issue is a bit weird? I really don't enjoy looking at Kevin Loves *****

Hell, if I live to be 77 and look as good as Gary Player did at 77 a couple of years ago I'd be proud of it and not embarrassed to show it.

On one hand this seems like an annual gimmicky thing but on the other hand the shots are pretty imaginative and artistic (not even sure how the hell they pulled off some of them like the surfin' stuff) and they get all of the star types to pose. Closer to old marble sculpture than the usual celebrity on purpose "oops" stuff.

Some of those shots of Odell Beckam jr... I don't know how is pecker wasn't visible.

I actually like those picture essays. Yes, they're nude, but they're not doing sex mag poses. They're showing off toned, well-muscled bodies (unlike body-builder bulk), and some of the poses are amazing...the gymnast in particular. Those shots require a lot of skill on the part of both the athlete AND the photographer.

Took my son to the airport this morning and it was so quiet everywhere and so little traffic. Wonder if state of Iowa still hung over from the 4th. Quite a few people at the airport, but stopped at a store on the way home and was the only customer, everyone trying to help me. When I got home, let the dog out and even he seemed bored there was nothing going on outside, so he came back in and is sleeping on the couch.

This works really well for me (I just do it lying in bed; I don't worry about the lotus part of it). It's basically just a relaxation technique. Helps me fall asleep if my mind is going too many directions. Staying asleep, however...that's a whole 'nuther story!

yeah normally it's not an issue, but staying up past 2am watching a race my driver won followed by probably the worst crash I've seen was just not good "winding down to sleep" activities.
