I am debating to see if it is worth being on call during holidays. You get 5x salary for that day for my company/function.

DH has one holiday a year now. He took Memorial Day. If you can pick, pick one where you're around anyway. We always try to avoid Christmas/Thanksgiving because we are in the land of slow internet.

I made a pie today

So does this mean your phone is finally in the 21st century? Don't have one of those old Nokia phones that only play Snake on them?

they gave us $200 PER PHONE if we turned them in today! And they transferred everything! Plus a total of $200 in credits for switching. I couldn't believe we got anything for the phones. They said as long as they work they'll give the credit.

Now that we are both Verizon, all those nudies you keep sending me will be free.

both have the Galaxy 6. You know it, WDSM!

I have to say, I'm impressed with the pricing on the Verizon Edge plan. I thought we'd be paying a lot more than we are. Helps that DH gets a 17% discount through his company on the data.

So total of $600? If I got that to switch to a different cell phone company, I'd assume it was just a bit of lube for what I was about to experience.

We're on verizon's no-contract plan. It's weird how cell phones are the only thing where the option where you pay a large amount up front, but cheaper in the long run is the option that's stigmatized to 'poor people'...in every other business, the model where there's no up front cost, but you pay a higher monthly fee FOREVER is the one that broke*** people end up with.

and fiteen...seriously, tell your bosses at microsoft to stop with the windows phone thing....they missed that market. It's Android/Apple. They don't need to **** in the wind and try and win that space, they need to do a better job of not missing their next 'window' of opportunity.

I was wondering too, but I think it's because we don't change phones often. If you change phones more often, it wouldn't be what you want, but we plan on having these for at least the length of the contract, and probably longer. We can actually pay off the cost of the phone at any time, but we're like shoot, as long as we aren't being charged interest on the cost of the phone (we are not), might as well just pay a bit per month. This plan is also not available to people with poor credit/payment history.

DH used to work for a competitor so we did lots of research on this going in. We did look at the prepay plan and it didn't come out different for us.

ok, I'll just keep using the desktop version like I did before then.

and as far as Verizon, they are the only ones who have service in our house, apparently, so we kinda got stuck on that.

oh, and our old company is trying to charge a termination fee despite the fact that we never had a contract. DH is going to fight that. Maybe I'll have to get on the phone, ha. No, he probably knows far more about the internal workings than whomever is on the phone or myself. I mean, if they can't provide proof we signed a contract........Idk how they expect that to work. We bought the phones outright and then had always been month to month. But since their billing is such a cluster, they think we have a contract.

so does CF have a mobile app? Is it worth using?

As what everybody else said, don't use the all, just use the mobile version of the site.

Also, SERIOUSLY MODS!!! MAKE IT SO I CAN THUMBS UP ON MOBILE ALREADY!

If we can split atoms, we should be able to get the thumbs up function on mobile for CF.

it was kinda funny when they told us to download an app that would allow everything to transfer and both phones were too old to be compatible.

so now I'm like ALL THE APPS!
