One son wanted to do that. Fortunately he was talked out of it. They went with the 30th instead.
The latest I would have a wedding would be mid-October. My parents got married on Dec. 30. They regretted it (even though the weather was acceptable for time of year/location.) They even told me if I got married in December, they weren't coming.

Have I mentioned how much I like your new avatar? Makes more sense than a lot of the folks starting to haunt Iowa! :)

Yeah, science!

I'm very much looking forward to being home for Christmas this year. There should be so many candidates rolling through Pella.

We're still talking about 00's balls, right?

We were married on 17 December. We wanted all six of our kids there...we got engaged in May, and would not have been able to plan and execute a wedding before the oldest went back to college at the U of Washington. Next option was after his finals. We flew him out here and he stayed through New Years then went back to school again.
Upside: we didn't have to do a lot of decorating at the church, and none of the boys sweated through their tuxes.
Downside: reception venues. We weren't just competing with corporate Christmas parties, we were competing with ISU graduation.

Late night with GTO and Pantsy looks like it started at 3:00 a.m. last night? Yikes. I suppose I may be up that late tonight though, it is prom, oh joy.
